Изобретение относится к пресс-фитингу (1, 21, 23) для соединения труб, содержащему корпус (2, 22, 24) фитинга для соединения пресс-фитинга (1, 21, 23) с трубой, опрессовочную гильзу (3, 25), прикрепленную к корпусу (2, 22, 24) фитинга и содержащую по существу цилиндрическую зону (4) обжима и по меньшей мере один выступающий элемент, который ограничивает упомянутую по существу цилиндрическую зону (4) обжима в осевом направлении, и трубчатую обертку (14, 26), которая окружает упомянутую по существу цилиндрическую зону (4) обжима опрессовочной гильзы (3, 25), причем упомянутая трубчатая обертка (14, 26) расположена с возможностью вращения относительно поверхности опрессовочной гильзы (3, 25), удерживается в упомянутой цилиндрической зоне (4) обжима упомянутым по меньшей мере одним выступающим элементом и, по меньшей мере, частично разрушается, когда опрессовочная гильза (3, 25) подвергается обжиму пресс-инструментом (34). Изобретение относится также к способу изготовления такого пресс-фитинга (1, 21, 23).
