Abstract

The invention relates to medicine, namely to obstetrics, and can be used to assess the status of the fetus in the second trimester of pregnancy and to improve the effectiveness of perinatal prognosis. A method for assessing the functional state of the fetus using cardiotocography includes performing cardiotachography and analyzing the obtained cardiotachograms with determining the characteristics of the heart rate and identifying three types of cardiotachograms: normal, suspicious and pathological, while diagnostics is performed in the second trimester of pregnancy according to the criteria short-term heart rate variability, long-term heart rate variability, episodes of high variability, episodes of low variability nosti, decelerations. The method allows with high accuracy to predict and identify in the second trimester of pregnancy, fetal pathology associated with placental insufficiency.
