Abstract
Системы и способы для преобразования энергии высокоэнергетичных фотонов в электричество, которые используют последовательности материалов с различными зарядами атомного ядра, чтобы извлекать преимущество из испускания большого множества электронов одним высокоэнергетичным фотоном посредством каскадной электронной эмиссии Оже. В одном варианте исполнения преобразователь высокоэнергетичных фотонов предпочтительно включает в себя линейную многослойную пластину нанометрического масштаба, составленную из слоев первого материала, проложенных между слоями второго материала, имеющего зарядовое число атомного ядра, отличное от зарядового числа атомного ядра первого материала. В других вариантах исполнения слои нанометрического масштаба сконфигурированы в трубчатой или оболочкообразной конфигурации и/или включают в себя слои третьего материала-изолятора.
