Изобретение относится к транспортному машиностроению и касается конструкции корпусных деталей для термостатов системы жидкостного охлаждения двигателей внутреннего сгорания (ДВС). Корпус термостата (фиг. 1) содержит скрепленные между собой две крышки 1, 2, которые образованы цилиндрическими поверхностями 3, 4. Первая крышка 1 снабжена фланцем 5 для соединения с фланцем (не показано) коллектора системы водяного охлаждения ДВС, а также патрубком 6 для сообщения с расширительным бачком (не показано). Вторая крышка 2 снабжена патрубком 7 для сообщения с радиатором (не показано). Фланец 5 первой крышки 1 расположен под острым углом к ее цилиндрической поверхности 3, плавно переходящей через коническую поверхность 8 в патрубок 6 первой крышки 1. При этом вторая крышка 2 образована также сферической поверхностью 9, плавно переходящей через ее цилиндрическую поверхность 4 в патрубок 7 второй крышки 2. Вариантами полезной модели являются нижеследующие признаки. В качестве материала крышек может применяться полимер.
