Abstract
Способ уменьшения размера гранул и восстановления сплава или лигатуры драгоценного металла включает стадии (а) формования расплава предшественника (10), по существу, состоящего из составляющих сплава или лигатуры драгоценного металла и неизбежных загрязняющих примесей; (b) диспергирования (14) соединения, выбранного из группы, включающей борсодержащие гидриды металлов, борсодержащие фториды металлов и их смеси, по всей массе расплава предшественника; и (с) затвердевания (20) борсодержащего драгоценного расплавленного сплава или лигатуры. Одним из подходящих соединений является твердый боргидрид натрия (тетрагидроборат натрия). С целью сведения к минимуму испарения бора при контакте с расплавом сплава предшественника борогидрид натрия может быть завернут в металлическую фольгу, изготовленную из составляющих сплава или лигатуры драгоценного металла. Было установлено, что отлитый сплав или лигатура драгоценного металла имеет меньшее количество твердых мест и более низкий уровень загрязнения кремнием по сравнению с известными способами литья.
