Подачу осуществляют путем свободного падения, шнеком и инжекцией газа. Во всех примерах применяют нейтральный или инертный газ. Подачу элементов осуществляют в начале канала, в том числе на нескольких участках по периметру. Подачу элементов осуществляют на нескольких участках по высоте и периметру канала. Предложено осуществлять смену участков подачи элементов и в процессе смены производить смену ковша. Элементы подают в измельченном и/или гранулированном состояниях. Комплекс оборудования для осуществления способа содержит, наряду с металлоплавильным агрегатом, ковшом и системой нормированной подачи элементов, устройство, содержащее канал, рабочая часть которого выполнена из огнеупорного материала, в частности графита, при этом в процессе переливания стали устройство расположено между выпускным отверстием металлоплавильного агрегата и ковшом, при этом при указанном расположении устройства продольные оси канала и выпускного отверстия соосны.
