Abstract

Изобретение относится к материалу для самообжигающегося электрода для дуговых электропечей, содержащему один или более углеродных компонентов и связующее, где связующее представляет собой твердый битум и характеризуется глубиной проникания иглы при 25°C согласно DIN EN 1426, составляющей <50 [на 0,1 мм], и/или температурой размягчения (по методу кольца и шара) согласно DIN EN 1427, составляющей по меньшей мере 65°C, и/или характеризуется плотностью при 25°C согласно DIN EN 52004, составляющей от 0,5 до 2 г/см3, где материал электрода характеризуется содержанием РАН, составляющим <500 ppm. Твердый битум предпочтительно получен посредством однократной равновесной перегонки мягкого и полутвердого типов битума, и при этом он характеризуется высоким содержанием серы.
