Abstract

Floor mat made of rubber, plastic or the like for motor vehicles, with a main mat body and a surrounding border for limitation of the mat, the main mat body having on its surface several regions and each region being provided with ribs arranged in parallel, characterised in that in the transition area between neighbouring regions (3, 4, 5, 6 or 3', 4' etc.) the ribs (7, 7', 7" and 8, 8', 8") of the two regions (e.g. 3 and 4) end freely at a distance from one another and making a change in direction, so that the channels formed by the ribs (7 and 7' etc.) of the one region (e.g. 3) are openly joined to several channels of the neighbouring region (e.g. 4).
