Claims (15)
1. Fremgangsmåde til fremstilling af et mineralfyldstofprodukt, hvilken fremgangsmåde omfatter trinnene: a) at tilvejebringe et calciumcarbonat-holdigt materiale; b) at tilvejebringe mindst et formalingsmiddel; c) at tørformale det calciumcarbonat-holdige materiale i en blanding opnået ved at bringe i kontakt: i) det calciumcarbonat-holdige materiale tilvejebragt i trin a), med ii) det mindst ene formalingsmiddel tilvejebragt i trin b) i mindst en formalingsenhed til at opnå et tørformalet mineralfyldstof; d) at klassificere det tørformalede mineralfyldstof fra trin c) til at opnå en grov fraktion og en fin fraktion, hvor den grove fraktion fjernes eller underkastes et tørformalingstrin c) og den fine fraktion udgør et fint mineralfyldstof; og e) eventuelt at tørre det fine mineralfyldstof fra trin d) til at opnå et tørret mineralfyldstof med en samlet fugtindhold på mindre end 1,0 vægtprocent, baseret på den samlede vægt af det tørrede mineralfyldstof; hvor det samlede fugtindhold i blandingen fra trin c) er mindre end eller lig med 10.0 vægtprocent, baseret på blandingens samlede vægt; mængden af det mindst ene formalingsmiddel tilvejebragt i trin b) er i området fra 0,05 til 150 mg/m2, baseret på det specifikke overfladeareal af det calciumcarbonat-holdige materiale som målt med BET-nitrogenmetoden; temperaturen i trin c) er i området fra 55 °C til 200 °C; og det mindst ene formalingsmiddel er valgt fra gruppen bestående af styren- maleinsyreanhydrid-copolymerer og derivativer af styrenmaleinsyreanhydrid- copolymerer, og har et monomerenhedsforhold (styrenenheder : maleinsyreanhydrid-enheder, S:MA) på fra 1:2 til 15:1 og en molekylevægt Mw på fra 500 til 40Ό00 g/mol.
2. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvor det calciumcarbonat-holdige materiale tilvejebragt i trin a) er valgt fra naturlige calciumcarbonatkilder og er fortrinsvis valgt fra gruppen bestående af marmor, kalksten, kridt, dolomit og blandinger deraf.
3. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 eller 2, hvor mængden af det mindst ene formalingsmiddel tilvejebragt i trin b) er i området fra 0,1 til 100,0 mg/m2, fortrinsvis fra 0,2 til 75,0 mg/m2, og mere fortrinsvis 0,2 til 50,0 mg/m2 fra baseret på det specifikke overfladeareal af det calciumcarbonat-holdige materiale som målt med BET-nitrogenmetoden.
4. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 3, hvor det mindst ene formalingsmiddel tilvejebragt i trin b) har et monomerenhedsforhold (S:MA) på fra 1:1 til 5:1, fortrinsvis fra 1:1 til 4:1, og mere fortrinsvis fra 1:1 til 3:1.
5. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 4, hvor det mindst ene formalingsmiddel tilvejebragt i trin b) har en molekylevægt Mw på fra 2Ό00 til 30Ό00 g/mol og fortrinsvis fra 3Ό00 til 25Ό00 g/mol.
6. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 5, hvor det mindst ene formalingsmiddel tilvejebragt i trin b) er delvist eller helt neutraliseret med kationer valgt fra lithium, natrium, kalium, calcium, magnesium, ammonium, iminium og blandinger deraf.
7. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 6, hvor det samlede fugtindhold i blandingen fra trin c) er mindre end eller lig med 5,0 vægtprocent, fortrinsvis mindre end eller lig med 2,0 vægtprocent, og mere fortrinsvis mindre end eller lig med 1,0 vægtprocent, baseret på blandingens samlede vægt.
8. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 7, hvor temperaturen in trin c) er i området fra 70 °C til 180 °C, fortrinsvis fra 75 °C til 160 °C, og mere fortrinsvis fra 80 °C til 150 °C.
9. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 8, hvor det fine mineralfyldstof fra trin d) haren vægtgennemsnitlig partikelstørrelse dso i området fra 0,4 til 40,0 pm, fortrinsvis fra 0,6 til 20,0 pm, og mere fortrinsvis fra 0,7 til 10,0 pm.
10. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 9, hvor fremgangsmåden omfatter et yderligere trin til behandling af det fine mineralfyldstof fra trin d) og/eller det tørrede mineralfyldstof fra trin e) med et hydrofobiseringsmiddel til at opnå et overfladebehandlet produkt med et behandlingslag på mindst en del af produktets overflade.
11. Mineralfyldstofprodukt opnået med en fremgangsmåde ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 10, hvor produktet har en flygtig starttemperatur på mindst eller lig med 200 °C.
12. Mineralfyldstofprodukt opnået med fremgangsmåden ifølge krav 10, hvor produktet har en fugtopsamlingssusceptibilitet på mindre end eller lig med 0,9 mg/g, fortrinsvis mindre end eller lig med 0,8 mg/g, mere fortrinsvis mindre end eller lig med 0,7 mg/g, og mest fortrinsvis fra 0,2 til 0,6 mg/g.
13. Mineralfyldstofprodukt ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 11 eller 12, hvor produktet har en flygtig starttemperatur på mindst eller lig med 230 °C, fortrinsvis mindst eller lig med 250 °C.
14. Anvendelse af et mineralfyldstofproduct ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 11 til 13 i en polymersammensætning, til papirfremstilling, papircoatings, landbrugsmæssige produkter, maling, klæbemidler, tætningsmidler, bygningsprodukter, og/eller kosmetikprodukter, fortrinsvis anvendes mineralfyldstofproduktet i en polymersammensætning.
15. Anvendelse ifølge krav 14, hvor polymersammensætningen omfatter: a) mindst en polymerresin; og b) fra 0,1 til 90,0 vægtprocent, fortrinsvis fra 1,0 til 85,0 vægtprocent, og mere fortrinsvis fra 2,0 til 45,0 vægtprocent, baseret den samlede vægt af polymersammensætningen, af mineralfyldstofproduktet ifølge krav 11 til 13.
