Description
[0001] The invention relates to a sliding and rotating leaf system according to the preamble of claim 1.
[0002] DE102006022184A1 discloses a sliding and rotating leaf system according to the preamble of claim 1.
[0003] Such sliding and rotating leaf systems are well known. They have several movable window casements, which are individually pivotable, which allows for almost fully opening a mostly very big front or room partitioning. The individual leafs are movably guided in guide rails arranged at the ceiling and the floor. Each leaf is movably held in a ceiling profile via two supporting elements. For this purpose, the supporting elements are provided with guide rollers, which are guided in guiding grooves formed by parallel bars arranged inside the guide rails. The guide rollers are usually manufactured from plastic-coated or rubberised materials. Heavier wind loads, which act on the leafs from the outside, may result in a deformation of the leaf glass as well as a change in length of the leaf thus caused, whereby the supporting elements may pop out of the groove-shaped guides of the rail profile.
[0004] The invention seeks to remedy this problem. The invention is based on the problem to provide a sliding and rotating leaf system, which prevents the supporting elements from popping out of the guide despite heavy wind loads. According to the invention, this problem is solved by the features of the characterising portion of claim 1.
[0005] With the invention a sliding and rotating leaf system is created, which prevents the supporting elements from popping out of the guide despite heavy wind loads.
Due to the fact that in a locked position under tensile load the locking element is supported by at least one boundary edge of the guide slot, force absorption by the locking element is effected, which leads to a reduced load of the supporting elements, whereby the guiding rollers of the supporting elements remain in their guides.
[0006] In a further embodiment of the invention, two sliding profiles are oppositely arranged, in which at least two leafs are movably arranged via two supporting elements, wherein a locking element is arranged at at least one leaf on both sides facing a rail profile, which locking element protrudes through the guide slot of one rail profile, respectively, and whose head is supported by at least one boundary edge of the respective guide slot in a locked position under tensile load of the leaf. This effects protection of the leaf on both sides.
[0007] in a further embodiment of the invention the locking element is formed by a bolt part, to which at the end a circular disc circumferentially overtowering the bolt part is moulded. Thus, support of the locking element on both boundary edges of the guide slot is achieved. Alternatively, a rectangular plate or other component may be arranged at the bolt part, by means of which a substantially T-shaped cross-section of the locking element is achieved.
[0008] In a further embodiment of the invention the locking element is arranged at a slider, via which it is movable along the leaf, wherein in the at least one rail profile at least one lateral outlet opening for releasing a supporting element of the leaf is arranged as well as a further lock opening underneath the lateral bars for releasing the locking element in an unlocked position. This prevents an impediment of the rotating leaf mechanism by the locking element in an unlocked position. By moving the slider the locking element may be positioned at a distance to the lock opening, which simultaneously leads to locking of the leaf, which results in an additional function as burglary prevention as well as a child-proof lock.
[0009] In one embodiment of the invention, a stop block is attached to the leaf, which is arranged between two stops arranged at the slider, by means of which the stop positions “unlocked”, i.e. the locking element is aligned with the lock opening and “locked”, i.e. the locking element is in a position laterally at a distance from the lock opening, of the locking element arranged at the slider are defined. This results in a limitation of travel of the slide on the defined positions “unlocked” and “locked”.
[0010] In a further embodiment of the invention, a cover cap is attached at the leaf, which covers the lock opening of the rail profile, wherein a lever is attached to the slider, which protrudes from under the cover cap. The entire locking device is not visible and controllable from the outer side opposite the cover cap and additionally serves as a burglary prevention.
[0011] In a further embodiment of the invention, the boundary edges of the guide slot of the at least one rail profile are reinforced. This prevents deformation during an intermittent application of force by the locking element due to wind loads at the leaf.
[0012] Other embodiments of the invention are indicated in the remaining subclaims. An example of the invention is shown in the drawings and is hereinafter described in detail. It is shown in:

[0013] The sliding and rotating leaf system selected as an example substantially consists of a rail profile 1 and an opposite floor profile 2 as well as a number of leafs 3, which are movably guided in the rail profile 1 as well as the floor profile 2 via supporting elements 4.
[0014] Rail profile 1 is substantially shaped in the manner of a C-profile, which has a guide slot 12 at its lower side facing leafs 3. In rail profile 1 at its side walls opposite on the inside, bars 11 are arranged, through which guide grooves 111 for receiving guide rollers 43 of supporting elements 4 of leafs 3 are arranged. Both boundary edges 121 of guide slot 12 of rail profile 1 are reinforced by means of a U-profile-shaped form 122. Laterally, an outlet 13 for releasing a supporting element 4 of a leaf 3 is inserted in rail profile 1, which is surrounded by a frame 131. Furthermore, next to outlet 13, a smaller lock opening 14 for releasing locking element 5 is inserted below lateral bars 11, which is also surrounded by a frame 141.
[0015] Floor profile 2 is also substantially designed in the manner of a C-profile, whose upper side facing leafs 3 has a guide slot 21, whose boundary edges 211 are reinforced. Laterally, an outlet - not shown - for releasing a support section 4 of a leaf 3 is also arranged in floor profile 2. Furthermore, adjacent to said outlet, a lock opening 22 for releasing the floor locking element is arranged, which is in turn provided with a frame 221. Leafs 3 are respectively formed by a disc element 31, which is surrounded by profiles 32 at its end. Profile 32 of leaf 3 facing rail profile 1 or floor profile 2, respectively, has a C-profile-type form 33 for receiving grooved plates 42 of support sections 4. In the example, each leaf 3 is provided with two support sections 4, respectively, at its sides facing rail profile 1 or floor profile 2, which are inserted in the C-profile-type form 33 of profiles 32 of leafs 3.
[0016] Support section 4 is substantially formed by a cylindrical section 41, which is arranged at the end with a grooved plate 42 for engaging with C-profile-type form 33 of profile 32 of a leaf 3. Opposite grooved plate 42, two guide rollers 43 are pivoted on top of each other on the cylindrical section 41 on the side of rail profile 1. Support sections 4 facing floor profile 2 are provided with one guide roller 43, respectively. Support sections 4 with their guide rollers 43 protruding guide slot 12, 21 of rail profile 1 or floor profile 2, are movably mounted on bars 11 arranged inside said profiles.
[0017] Locking element 5 is substantially bolt-shaped and has a circumferential towering circular disc 51 on its side facing rail profile 1 or floor profile 2. At its end opposite disc 51, locking element 5 is moulded to slider 52. Slider 52 has a slot-nut-shaped form 54 at its lower side opposite locking element 5, by means of which it is guided in profile 32 of leaf 3. At its end facing away from locking element 5, slider 52 is rectangularly bent in the direction of the slot-nut-shaped form 54. Between slot-nut shaped form 54 and bent end 55 of slider 52, a stop 34 is positioned, which is firmly attached to profile 32 of leaf 3. Stop 34 delimits the sliding path of slider 51 between the stop positions “unlocked” and “locked”.
[0018] Rotating leafs 3 are provided with one locking element 5, respectively, in their sides facing rail profile 1 or floor profile 2, which aligns with the respective lock opening 14, 22 of rail profile 1 or floor profile 2 in the position “unlocked”. Lock openings 14 in the example are covered by a cover cap 6, which is attached to profiles 32 of wings 3. Slider 52 of locking elements 5 is provided with one lever 53, respectively, which protrudes from under cover cap 6 and via which slider 52 with moulded-on locking element 5 is movable between the positions “unlocked” and “locked". Adjacent to cover cap 6, a cover 7 is arranged at leaf 3 for covering outlet 13.
[0019] For unlocking a respective rotating leaf 3, slider 52 with mouided-on locking element 5 is moved into the position “unlocked” via lever 53, wherein locking element 5 is aligned with allocated lock opening 14, 22. Subsequently, rotating leaf 3 can be rotated around the axis of a support section 4, whereby the other support section 4 is released by lateral outlet 13 and locking element 5 by lock opening 14, 22. After one rotating leaf 3 is latched back into rail profile 1 and floor profile 2 with the supporting elements and the locking elements 5, slider 52 can be brought into the position “locked” via lever 53, which is defined by the slot-nut-shaped form 54 of slider 52 stopping at stop 34 of leaf 3. In this position, the locking element is in a position laterally spaced from lock opening 14, 22 inside rail profile 1 or floor profile 2, whereby swivelling of rotating leaf 3 is prevented. Simultaneously, it is prevented that rotating leaf 3, under wind loads, pops out of the guide, which is formed by bars 11 moulded into rail profile 1 and guide rollers 43 of the supporting elements 4 engaging there between.
