Claims (9)
1. Anordning til kromatografi, der omfatter: en modulator (10) med (i) en indgangsåbning (11, 37) til modtagelse af udstrømning fra en første kromatografisøjle (4), og (ii) to uafhængige åbninger (12, 16, henholdsvis. 36, 39) til modtagelse af en strøm fra den ene eller flere elektroniske tryk- og/eller strømningsstyringsenheder (7), der er placeret eksternt i forhold til modulatoren (10); enten én eller to akkumuleringskapillærprøvesløjfer (14), der er placeret eksternt i forhold til modulatoren (10), eller enten én eller to akkumuleringskapillærprøvesløjfer (14), der er integreret i modulatoren (10); hvor modulatoren (10) endvidere omfatter et system af integrerede kanaler, hvorved akkumuleringskapillærprøvesløjfen(-eme) er forbundet mellem den første (11, 36) og den anden (16, 39) uafhængige åbninger og med indgangsåbningen (11, 37); en injektor (9), der er direkte forbundet med modulatoren (10); kendetegnet ved, at anordningen endvidere omfatter: en nåleventil (29), der er integreret i modulatoren (10), til regulering af strømning, der forlader akkumuleringsprøvesløjfen/-sløjferne (14), og første og anden kanaler (16-17, 16-18, henholdsvis 38-40, 38-41), der er forbundet med akkumuleringskapillærprøvesløjfen(-erne) (14), hvor kanalerne er integreret i modulatoren (10), den første kanal endvidere forbundet med en anden kromatografisøjle (22), den anden kanal endvidere forbundet med en kapillærsøjle (19) for på en styret måle ved anvendelse af nåleventilen at opdele strømmen, der forlader akkumuleringskapillærsløjfen(-eme) (14), og for at frigøre overskydende tryk i den første kanal og som følge heraf i den anden kromatografisøjle (22) ved tømning af akkumuleringskapillærsløjfen(-eme) (14).
2. Anordning ifølge krav 1, der omfatter én eller to kapillærprøvesløjfer (14) placeret eksternt i forhold til modulatoren (10), kendetegnet ved et forhold mellem kapillærlængde og indre diameter på mellem 5 og 40.
3. Anordning ifølge krav 1, der omfatter én eller to indvendigt integrerede akkumuleringskanaler med et fast volumen.
4. Anordning ifølge krav 1, hvor der i systemet af integrerede kanaler er anbragt interne forbindelseskanaler i grupper og på en afbrudt måde og disse grupper er forbundet med hinanden via én eller to akkumuleringskapillærer eksternt i forhold til modulatoren (10).
5. Anordning ifølge krav 1, hvor der i systemet af integrerede kanaler er anbragt interne forbindelseskanaler på en kontinuerlig måde via en intern akkumuleringskanal.
6. Anordning ifølge krav 1, hvor de to kromatografisøjler (4, 22) er installeret i én eller flere gaskromatografiovne (1,6).
7. Anordning ifølge krav 1, hvor injektoren (9) er forbundet med en automatisk strømningsstyringsenhed eller med en automatisk trykstyringsenhed (7).
8. Anvendelse af en anordning ifølge krav 1 i en GCxGC-fremgangsmåde, der omfatter et massespektrometer ved udgangen af den anden søjle eller en hvilken som helst anden GC-detektor.
