Claims (9)
1. Fremgangsmåde til håndtering af afbrydelsesanmodninger i et computermiljø, kendetegnet ved at omfatte trinnene at: som reaktion på udførelse af en Modify PCI Function Controls (MPFC) -instruktionsregister-afbrydelsesfunktion som specificereren funktionshåndtering af en adapter, at specificere (601) i en tabel placeret i en input/output (I/O) -hub koblet til adapteren, en position i systemhukommelsen af en adapterafbrydelse-bitvektor (AIBV) af adapteren, AIBV'en inkluderet i et array af en eller flere AIBV'er, og en position i systemhukommelse afen adapterafbrydelse-opsummeringsbit (AISB) af et AISB-array; at modtage (603) fra adapteren en anmodning om afbrydelse; og som reaktion på den modtagne anmodning, at indstille (605) med I/O-hubben en indikator i AIBV'en som indikerer en type af hændelse fra adapteren og at indstille (606) AISB'en som indikerer at en indikator er indstillet i AIBV'en.
2. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvor fremgangsmåden endvidere omfatter at præsentere en afbrydelse til et behandlingssystem, hvor afbrydelsen er responsiv på anmodningen om afbrydelse.
3. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 2, hvor anmodningen om afbrydelse repræsenterer en flerhed af beskedsignalerede afbrydelser, og afbrydelsen til behandlingssystemet er del afen input/output-adapterhændelsesnotifikation til behandlingssystemet.
4. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 2, hvor fremgangsmåden endvidere omfatter at opnå, som reaktion på præsenteringen, en eller flere AIBV-indikationer for en eller flere adaptere som specificerer mindst en grund til afbrydelse pr. adapter.
5. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 4, hvor opnåelsen omfatter at opnå en flerhed af AIBV-indikationer som specificerer en flerhed afgrunde til afbrydelse, flerheden af grunde til afbrydelse er tilsvarende flerheden af anmodninger om afbrydelse.
6. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 5, hvor opnåelsen omfatter at anvende AISB'en i opnåelse af den ene eller flere AIBV-indikationer i den ene eller flere AIBV'er.

Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvor indstillingen af indikatoren i AIBV'en omfatter: at anvende en identifikator af anmodningen fra adapteren til at opnå en indretningstabelindtastning, indretningstabelindtastningen omfattende en værdi som specificerer et antal af afbrydelser som er tilladt for adapteren; at bestemme hvorvidt et vektorantal tilvejebragt i anmodningen er inden for antallet af afbrydelser tilladt for adapteren; som reaktion på bestemmelsen af at vektorantallet er inden for det tilladte antal af afbrydelser, at anvende et eller flere parametre af indretningstabelindtastningen til at lokalisere en startposition af AIBV'en; og at anvende vektorantallet til at indstille indikatoren i AIBV'en.
8. System omfattende organ indrettet til at udføre alle fremgangsmådetrinnene ifølge et hvilket som helst af de foregående fremgangsmådekrav.
