Claims (21)

1. System til udsættelse af en i længden mobil langstrakt fastfase (1) for en flerhed af successive behandlinger, hvilket system omfatter en flerhed af fasekontaktanordninger (400, 401, 500) til etablering af kontakt mellem den mobile langstrakte fastfase og en strømmende fluidfase (2), hvor hver fasekontaktanordning omfatter (i) en kanal (3), der er cirkelformet eller ikke-cirkelformet i tværsnit og definerer et lumen til at indeholde både den strømmende fluidfase (2) og den mobile elongate fastfase (1), (ii) fluidfaseåbninger (7, 8) i forbindelse med lumenet for at gøre det muligt for fluidfasen at trænge ind i lumenet, strømmen gennem det og forlade det, og (iii) fastfaseåbninger (9, 10) i forbindelse med lumenet for at gøre det muligt for den mobile fastfase at trænge ind i lumenet, bevæge sig gennem det og forlade det, hvor fasekontaktanordningen er tilpasset til at forhindre fluidudgang fra dens indre gennem fastfaseåbningeme; hvor: systemet er anbragt for at en fastfasebane kan defineres mellem successive fasekontaktanordninger (400, 401, 500), således at fastfasen kan bevæge sig gennem den ene efter den anden af de successive fasekontaktanordninger; en første fasekontaktanordning (400) og en anden fasekontaktanordning (401) er placeret i en række langs banen og er anbragt til at modtage fluid fra en fælles fluidkilde; en tredje fasekontaktanordning (500) langs banen er anbragt til at modtage fluid fra en anden fluidkilde.
2. System ifølge krav 1, hvor den første og den anden fasekontaktanordning (400, 401) er anbragt på en måde som A eller B: A. til at modtage fluid fra den første fluidkilde, ved at en fluidfaseåbning af den første fasekontaktanordning (400) står i fluidforbindelse med en fluidfaseåbning af den anden fasekontaktanordning (401), hvorved fluid er i stand til at strømme fra den første fasekontaktanordning til den anden fasekontaktanordning; eller B. til at modtage fluid fra den første fluidkilde, ved at begge er anbragt til at stå i forbindelse med den første fluidkilde via en strømningsbane, der ikke indbefatter nogen som helst fasekontaktanordning.
3. System ifølge krav 1 eller krav 2 hvor den første og den anden fasekontaktanordning (400, 401) er aftageligt sammenkoblet, hvor den første og den anden fasekontaktanordning hver eventuelt omfatter aftagelige indbyrdes forbundne plader, hvilke plader omfatter et par plader, der er i et modstående flade-mod-flade-forhold, og som mellem sig definerer modstående flader, hvor en længde af kanalen strækker sig i en retning, der er parallel med parret af plader, og hvor én plade af den første fasekontaktanordnings par af plader deles med den anden fasekontaktanordning for at danne én plade af den anden fasekontaktanordnings par af plader.
4. 6. System ifølge krav 5(a), der endvidere omfatter et aflejringsområde, hvori der er anbragt en flerhed af aflejringsanordninger (465, 466, 467) langs banen for aflejring af reagenser på fastfasen på en rumligt adskilt måde.
7. System ifølge et hvilket som helst foregående krav, hvor, for hver fasekontaktanordning, fluidfasen er en væskefase, og hvor tilpasningen til at forhindre fluidudgangen er, at anordningen er tilpasset således, når anordningen er i en opret orientering, at fastfaseåbningeme (9, 10) er placeret adskilt over fluidfaseåbningeme (7, 8), hvorved, i anvendelse, væskefasen ikke kommer i kontakt med fastfaseåbningeme.
8. System ifølge et hvilket som helst foregående krav hvor, for hver fasekontaktanordning, kanalen (3) omfatter et område, hvori kanalen undergår en retningsændring, eventuelt hvor kanalen omfatter to arme, der er forbundet med hinanden ved hjælp af området, hvor anordningen er konfigureret til, at de to arme skal være oprejste og i indbyrdes fluidforbindelse ved de lavere ender deraf, når anordningen er i anvendelse.
9. System ifølge krav 8, hvor området omfatter en mile (115), hvis rotationsakse er på tværs af bevægelsesretningen for fastfasen og er anbragt, således at fastfasen løber over en del af dens periferi, når fastfasen ændrer retning.
10. System ifølge et hvilket som helst foregående krav, hvor systemet endvidere omfatter mindst én mile mellem hvert af fasekontaktmoduleme langs fastfasebanen til at føre fastfasen, når den bevæger sig fra én fasekontaktanordning til den næste.
11. Fremgangsmåde til behandling af en mobil langstrakt fastfase (1) med en strømmende fluidfase (2), der omfatter bevægelse af fastfasen og fluidfasen gennem et lumen af en kanal (3), hvori de to faser kommer i kontakt med hinanden, hvor fremgangsmåden udsætter en i længden mobil langstrakt fastfase (1) for en flerhed af successive behandlinger, hvilken fremgangsmåde omfatter passage af den langstrakte fastfase gennem et system ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 1 til 10.
12. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 11, hvor fluidfasen foranlediges til at strømme gennem lumenet i en modsat retning af fastfasens bevægelse.
13. Fremgangsmåde ifølge enten krav 11 og 12, hvor den langstrakte fastfase (1) omfatter et substrat og eventuelt et stof bundet dertil, og eventuelt hvor substratet omfatter bomuld eller et andet cellulosemateriale, en syntetisk polymer eller glas.
14. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 13, hvor fluidfasen er en væskefase og fremgangsmåden omfatter fastfasesyntese, og reagenset reagerer med substratet eller et stof bundet dertil for at fjerne en beskyttende gruppe, for at aktivere en funktionsgruppe eller for at tilføje en syntetisk byggeblok til substratet eller substansen ved dannelse af kovalent binding.
15. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 11 til 13, der omfatter et trin af en fastfasesyntese.
16. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 15, hvor fremgangsmåden har et slutprodukt, der er en biologisk polymer, f.eks. et polypeptid, et polynukleotid eller et polysaccharid.
17. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 11 til 13, der omfatter et trin af en prøvning.
18. Fremgangsmåde ifølge et hvilket som helst af kravene 15 til 17, der omfatter en vask af fastfasen.
19. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 11 eller krav 12, hvor fastfasen har et stof, der er kovalent bundet til den.
20. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 11 eller krav 12, hvor fastfasen har et stof, der er ikke-kovalent bundet til den, f.eks. ved adsorption.
