Abstract

Instead of manufacturing condom sheaths 2 by immersing a mandrel in a latex solution or the like, such a sheath 2 can advantageously be blown out in a mould. Compressed air is fed to the inside of a hose 1 in a plastic state, whilst the hose is in an enclosed mould 10, 13 with cooled mould sides. When the material is cooled it is fixed and the finished fabrication can be removed. Similarly it is possible to manufacture a complete incontinence equipment comprising sheath 2, hose 1 and collecting bag 3, so that the process of assembly is avoided. The mould may have a displaceable mould side 13 so that the mould volume can be increased during blowing, thereby obtaining the required material thickness on the individual fabrications and sections thereof. For holding the hose 1 there are holding means 11, 15 and 14, 15 at the sides of the mould 10, 13 and compressed air can be delivered through a duct 12 in the one mandrel 11, it being possible to heat the compressed air in order to ensure the plasticity of the material. <IMAGE>
