Claims (8)

1. Bærbar insulinafgivelses system (1000), der omfatter: en bærbar insulinafgivelsespumpe (1005) til at afgive insulin til en patient; en glucosemåler (1006) til periodisk at udføre en flerhed af glucosemålinger svarende til glucosekoncentration i blodet; en processor (10) til at bestemme én eller flere HbAlc-værdier, der er repræsentative for en patients glycosylerede hæmoglobinniveauer baseret på de periodiske glucosemålinger; kendetegnet ved, at: processoren (10) er tilvejebragt i et hvilket som helst eller flere af det bærbare insulinafgivelses system (1000), en håndholdt fjernstyringsenhed (1008) til insulinafgivelsespumpen og en håndholdt blodgluc o semonitor (90); processoren (10) er konfigureret til at bestemme én eller flere HbAlc-værdier baseret på en matematisk model, der sætter den ene eller flere HbAlc-værdier i forhold til glucosekoncentrationer bestemt ud fra glucosemålingerne, idet den matematiske model omfatter en reaktionskinetikmodel af første orden, der er repræsentativ for en reaktionskinetik af første orden mellem glucose og hæmoglobin og tab af HbAlc via erytrocyt-clearance, hvor HbAlc vurderes at være et stabilt reaktionsprodukt; og systemet er konfigureret til advare patienten, hvis en høj HbAlc-værdi fastslås, idet det anbefaler helbredskontrol hos en læge.
2. Bærbart insulinafgivelsessystem (1000) ifølge krav 1, hvor glucosemåleren (1006) er koblet til afgivelsespumpen (1005) og konfigureret til periodisk at udføre en flerhed af glucosemålinger i interstitielfluid.
3. System (1000) ifølge krav 1, hvor systemet endvidere er konfigureret til udføre indstillingsændringer af afgivelsespumpen (1005), hvis en høj HbAlc-værdi fastslås.
4. System (1000) ifølge krav 1, hvor processoren (10) endvidere er konfigureret til beregne én eller flere værdier, der er repræsentative for patientens glucosevariabilitetsniveauer.
5. System (1000) ifølge krav 1, hvor mindst en del af pumpen (1005) kan fastgøres til patientens hud.
