The present invention relates to a flange (60) for connecting a tube (80) to another entity (150), said flange (60) comprising: a flange body (61) with a proximal side (62) for attachment to said other entity (150) and an opposite distal side (63), a central bore (70) in said flange body (61), said central bore (64) being sized and shaped for receiving and supporting an end portion (81) of a tube (80) fixedly connectable to said flange (60), and said central bore (70) opening to said proximal side (62) and to said distal side (63), a weiding recess (71) provided as an enlarged diameter portion (71) of said central bore (70), said welding recess (71) opening into said proximal side (62), and said weiding recess (71) being configured to provide space for a weld between said end portion (81) of the tube (80) and said flange (60)
