Claims (17)
1. Fremgangsmåde til fremstilling af modstandsdygtig stivelse, omfattende: (a) udvælgelse af en reaktionstemperatur, (b) forsuring af umodificeret stivelse med vandig eller gasformig saltsyre til en pH, som er optimeret til at maksimere udbytte af modstandsdygtig stivelse af den umodificerede stivelse ved reaktionstemperaturen, (c) opvarmning af den forsurede umodificerede stivelse til reaktionstemperaturen, og (d) vedligeholdelse af den forsurede umodificerede stivelse nær reaktionstemperaturen indtil der opnås et maksimalt udbytte af modstandsdygtig stivelse, mens der bevares en hvidhedsgrad på mindst 65, hvori pH er mellem 1 og 4, og reaktionstemperaturen er mellem 140sCog 180SC.
2. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvori den umodificerede stivelse i trin (b) forsures med vandig saltsyre.
3. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvori den umodificerede stivelse i trin (b) forsures med gasformig saltsyre.
4. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvori den optimale pH af forsuret umodificeret stivelse i trin (b) er mellem 2 og 3.
5. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvori den optimale pH af forsuret umodificeret stivelse i trin (b) er 2,4.
6. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvori reaktionstemperaturen er mellem 160°C og 175° C.
7. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvori reaktionstemperaturen er 170°C.
8. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvori fugtindholdet af den umodificerede stivelse er mellem 2% og 6%.
9. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvori den umodificerede stivelse forsures før fugtindholdet reduceres til mellem 2% og 6%.
10. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvori det maksimerede udbytte af modstandsdygtig stivelse er større end 50%.
11. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvori det maksimerede udbytte af modstandsdygtig stivelse er større end 60%.
12. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvori: - reaktionstemperaturen er mellem 160°Cog 175° C, - pH er 2,4, og - hvidhedsgraden er mindst 65.
13. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvori: - reaktionstemperaturen er 170°C, - pH er 2,4, og - hvidhedsgraden er mindst 65.
14. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvori stivelsen har et fugtindhold på 4% og forsures med gasformig saltsyre til en pH på 2,4, reaktionstemperaturen er 160°C, og hvidhedsgraden er mindst 65.
15. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvori den umodificerede stivelse er udledt af majs.
16. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvori den umodificerede stivelse er udledt af kartofler, ris, kassava eller hvede.
17. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, yderligere omfattende: (e) fremstilling af et fødevareprodukt af den modstandsdygtige stivelse.
