Den foreliggende opfindelse angår en vinduesafdækning, såsom rullegardiner, jalousier eller lignende, af et baneformet materiale, der er fremstillet af et belagt, af fibre, folie eller lignende bestående bærelag, som kun udviser en mekanisk og ikke nogen varmeisolerende funktion, hvor der i det mindste på den ene af bærelagets sider er anbragt et IR-reflekterende reflekslag af metal og derpå et IR-gennemtrængeligt beskyttelseslag af formstof, eksempelvis polyætylen eller lignende, og hvor beskyttelseslaget eller lagene er udformet så tynde, at deres varmeabsorption er så lille som muligt.
Materialet til vinduesafdækninger udformes under hensyn til lysgennemtrængelighed og æstetiske synspunkter, og i almindelighed sker der også kun en behandling under hensyn til netop disse egenskaber, og materialet anvendes på mange forskellige måder.
Vinduesafdækninger anvendes ikke blot til at forhindre lysgennemgang, men danner også, hvad der i nyere tid er særligt vigtigt - et isoleringsmateriale med stor virkning, ved hjælp af hvilket varmeisoleringsværdierne for vinduer kan forbedres væsentligt.
Der kendes sådanne vinduesafdækningsmaterialer af belagt stof eller papir eller en anden bærer. Disse materialer er efter deres bestemmelse mere eller mindre lystætte. Som termisk isolering er de samme materialer dog ikke egnet, fordi overfladerne i IR-området er grå eller sorte, dvs. højt absorberende og ikke reflekterende i det til isoleringsformål vigtige termiske IR-område.
Der er ligeledes kendt og i litteraturen beskrevet vinduesafdækningsmaterialer, der består af metalliserede tekstilstoffer, florstoffer eller folier. Til forbedring af brugbarheden er et tyndt metallag med held blevet indesluttet i folier, eller metalliserede folier er påklæbet på andre bærere. Disse materialer betyder et fremskridt, når det drejer sig om at forhindre fx solindstråling eller den deraf resulterende opvarmning af beboelses- og arbejdsværelser. De i litteraturen beskrevne udførelsesformer omhandler derimod ikke en isolering i det termiske - altså usynlige - IR-område. Den almindelige anvendelse af disse kendte folier blev begrænset af den metalliske ensartede glans, der forøger den synlige lysintensitet ved solindstråling .

Der er endvidere blevet udviklet vindue s afdæknin gsmater i a-ler, der består af tekstilstoffer på den side, der vender mod værelset, hvilke stoffer ofte vælges således, at de giver værelset et for boliger tiltalende indtryk. Disse materialer vil dog på grund af deres remissions-/emissionsforhold ikke forhindre det for fagfolk kendte kuldeslør ved vinduer.
Fra GB patentskrift nr. 915.518 kendes en vinduesafdækning med et bærelag, hvorpå der er pådampet et aluminiumslag.
På dette lag er der pålagt et tyndt beskyttelseslag, fx af polyætylen, der i det væsentlige er gennemtrængeligt for den termiske iR-stråling. Det er også udformet så tyndt, at dets termiske absorption er så lille som muligt. Som følge af denne udformning bliver IR-strålingen reflekteret og kastet tilbage ved aluminiumslaget.
Denne kendte vinduesafdækning har imidlertid en afgørende ulempe. Beskyttelseslagene over metallagene er nemlig gennemsigtige, således at metallagene tydeligt kan ses. Den derved fremkaldte spejlende glans er utilfredsstillende og virker meget forstyrrende, når afdækningen rammes af lysstråler, idet de reflekterende stråler kan blænde. Derfor har sådanne vinduesafdækninger heller ikke kunnet vinde almindelig anerkendelse.
Det er formålet med den foreliggende opfindelse at tilvejebringe en vinduesafdækning eller et materiale dertil, som på den ene side har de samme reflektionsegenskaber som den vinduesafdækning, der er kendt fra GB patentskrift nr. 915.518, men som på den anden side kan udformes på en sådan måde, at den ovennævnte spejlagtige glans undgås. ...
Dette opnås ifølge opfindelsen ved, at vinduesafdækningen er udformet som angivet i krav l's kendetegnende del.
En sådan vinduesafdækning har den fordel, at den efter _ behov kan belægges eller påtrykkes farvede mønstre. Samtidig opnås der med den isolerende vinduesafdækning en optimal varmestrålingsreflektion på den eller de sider,.der er forsynet med det reflekterende lag, hvorved der opnås en yderst gunstig strålebeskyttelse mod solindstråling, dannelsen af et såkaldt kuldeslør ved vinduet bliver forhindret og om vinteren fås der en tilbageholdelse af den varmestråling, der ellers går ud gennem vinduet.

Ved udformning af materialet som angivet i krav 2 kan man opnå en særlig god tilbageholdelse af varmeudstrålingen.
Ved udformning af materialet som angivet i krav 3 kan man opnå, at en forholdsvis lille andel af dagslyset når ind i de indre værelser gennem vinduets afdækning, således at en orientering er mulig for værelsernes beboere uden benyttelse af et værelses belysningsanlæg.
Opfindelsen forklares nærmere under henvisning til tegningen, der viser en udførelsesform for vinduesafdækningsmaterialet i snit.
Vinduesafdækningsmaterialet består i det væsentlige af tre slags lag. På et på begge sider glat bærelag 1 af tekstil eller papir er der påført et i det termiske IR-område (fra 5 til 25 ji bølgelængde) højt reflekterende lag 2 symmetrisk på begge sider. Valget af bærelaget er ikke væsentligt for den foreliggende opfindelse. Bæreren 1 har kun en mekanisk og ikke nogen termisk-isolerende funktion.
På det reflekterende lag 2 på begge sider påføres der atter funktionssymmetrisk et farvelag 3 over hele fladen eller en del af fladen og med en eller flere farver. Dette lag er udført således, at den funktionssymmetriske reflektion af laget 2 ikke bliver ophævet i det termiske IR-område, men i et område fra 400 til 900 nm bølgelængde har en ønsket forskellig absorption for at opnå et visuelt farvet indtryk.
Denne virkning bliver opnået ved et passende valg af farvebærere eller bindere og af den geometriske dimension af lagtykkelsen og pigmentstørrelsen. Som bindemateriale kan der herved anvendes kendte infrarød-gennemtrængelige formstofma-terialer, såsom specielt formuleret polyætylen eller isomeri-seret kautsjuk (cyklokautsjuk). Størrelsen af de i bindemiddel-laget indlejrede pigmenter og lagtykkelsen af bindemiddella-get, dvs. det maksimale antal af enkeltlag og pigmenter i dette hovedlag over hinanden vælges således, at der efter den Mie'ske spredningslov for stråling i det optiske område fås en diffus spredning med passende absorptionsbånd svarende til den af pigmenter bestemte farvegivning, medens der i IR-strålingsområdet fås en ret spredning for IR-strålingen. Det vil sige, der udsøges pigmenter med en størrelsesfordeling, hvis størrelse er forholdsvis større end bølgelængden for strålingen i det synlige område og forholdsvis lille i forhold til bølgelængden U8694 4 af strålingen i IR-området. Endvidere vælges lagtykkelsen så tynd som muligt, så at der, hvis muligt, kun findes to pigmentlag i det nævnte lag.
Ved den farvede udformning behøver der ikke at tilstræbes nogen symmetri på de to sider. Farvegivningen i det synlige område er ikke noget absolut kriterium for vinduesafdækningens funktion, men den åbner endnu en frihedsgrad for opfindelsen for en kunstnerisk udformning uden at begrænse den principielle funktion.
Til den farvede udformning udnyttes den effekt, at stoffer reflekterer, absorberer eller transmitterer på forskellige bølgelængder i spektret. Vinduesafdækningen ifølge opfindelsen danner en fortrinsvis symmetrisk virkende afskærmning i det termiske. IR-område uden de metallisk glinsende overflader, der virker monotone og kan være forstyrrende på grund af spejleffekter.
Ved en udførelsesform for vinduesafdækningen ifølge opfindelsen kan der tages hensyn til, at spektralfordelingen i en varmestrålegiver afhænger stærkt af dennes temperatur, idet forsiden og også bagsiden optimeres for det i det enkelte tilfælde relevante spektralområde.
