Claims (13)
1. Fremgangsmåde til at kode eller afkode digitalt videoindhold, nævnte digitale videoindhold omfatter en strøm af billeder, som hver især kan være intra-, prædiktive eller bi-prædiktive billeder, ethvert af billederne omfatter makroblokke, nævnte fremgangsmåde omfatter trinnene, at: vælge at kode eller afkode ethvert vertikalt tilstødende par makroblokke i en framemodus eller en feltmodus; arrangere nævnte par makroblokke i framemakroblokke eller feltmakroblokke i overensstemmelse med den valgte af nævnte framemodus eller nævnte feltmodus; og kode eller afkode nævnte framemakroblokke eller nævnte feltmakroblokke, hvori trinnet at arrangere nævnte par makroblokke i framemakroblokke eller feltmakroblokke indbefatter trinnet: i nævnte framemodus i fælleskab at behandle to felter i nævnte par makroblokke, nævnte par makroblokke opdeles i framemakroblokke, og enhver af nævnte framemakroblokke indbefatter både øverste og nederste feltpixler; i nævnte feltmodus at behandle to felter i hver af nævnte par makroblokke hver for sig, nævnte par makroblokke deles i feltmakroblokke, og enhver af nævnte feltmakroblokke indbefatter enten øverste eller nederste feltpixler, og hvori nævnte framemakroblokke og nævnte feltmakroblokke har den samme størrelse.
2. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, hvori enhver af nævnte framemakroblokke og enhver af nævnte feltmakroblokke er 16 x 16 pixler.
3. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1 eller 2, hvori parret af makroblokke er 32 x 16 pixler.
4. Fremgangsmåde ifølge ethvert af kravene 1 til 3, hvori mindst en af nævnte feltmakroblokke eller nævnte framemakroblokke yderligere opdeles i blokke med mindre størrelse indbefattende de samme mulige blokstørrelser, når blokkene af mindre størrelse er til anvendelse i framemodus eller feltmodus i en tidsmæssig prædiktion med bevægelseskompensation.
5. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 4, hvori blokkene af mindre størrelse indbefatter 16x8 pixler, 8x16 pixler, 8x8 pixler, 8x4 pixler, 4x8 pixler, eller 4x4 pixler.
6. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, 2 eller 3, hvori mindst en af nævnte frame- eller feltmakroblokke yderligere opdeles i blokke med mindre størrelse, blokkene af mindre størrelse indbefatter 16x8 pixler, 8x16 pixler, 8x8 pixler, 8x4 pixler, 4x8 pixler, eller 4x4 pixler.
7. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 4, 5 eller 6, yderligere omfattende at beregne prædiktionsbevægelsesvektorer for nævnte blokke af mindre størrelse.
8. Fremgangsmåde ifølge ethvert af kravene 1 til 7, yderligere omfattende at anvende et frame-/feltflag for parret af makroblokke til at angive framemodus eller feltmodus.
9. Fremgangsmåde ifølge ethvert af kravene 1 til 8, hvori valget til at kode eller afkode i en framemodus eller en feltmodus indbefatter kodning eller afkodning i et billede.
10. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, yderligere omfattende at kode nævnte framemakroblok eller nævnte feltmakroblok i direkte modus i nævnte bi-prædiktive billeder.
11. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, yderligere omfattende rumligt at prædiktere pixelværdier for nævnte framemakroblok eller nævnte feltmakroblok i nævnte intrabilleder, nævnte prædiktive billeder, eller nævnte biprædiktive billeder.
12. Fremgangsmåde ifølge krav 1, yderligere omfattende tidsmæssigt at prædiktere pixelværdier for nævnte framemakroblok eller nævnte feltmakroblok i nævnte prædiktive billeder eller nævnte bi-prædiktive billeder.
13. Apparat tilpasset til at udføre trin ifølge fremgangsmåden ifølge ethvert af de foregående krav.
