Abstract

A single-axle trailer has a coupling device 1, which is connected by way of a draw bar 2 to the trailer chassis 3, and a jockey wheel mechanism 4 of conventional type, which by means of a holder 5 can be detachably fitted to the draw bar 2. The jockey wheel mechanism 4 has a manually operatable handle 6, by means of which it is possible to adjust the distance between the jockey wheel and the means by which the mechanism is fixed to the draw bar 2. When the trailer is to be coupled to a towing vehicle, for example, the trailer coupling device 1 can thereby be easily brought to a suitable level in relation to the towing device of the towing vehicle. The novelty of the trailer according to the invention resides in the fact that it has two holders 5 of the same type as that fixed to the draw bar located on either side of the trailer next to its wheels and connected to the chassis 3. The jockey wheel mechanism 4 may be alternatively mounted in either of these holders in order to relieve the load on a wheel 7, for example when removing the wheel. <IMAGE>
