Abstract

A double trailer combination consists of a tractor vehicle (2) with, attached to it, a first trailer (6), onto which, is attached a second trailer (12), connected by a dolly (8) with a tow bar (20). This dolly (8) includes a side support mechanism (26) on each side of the tow bar (20), which by engaging with the first trailer (6) makes the dolly (8) rigid. The tow bar (20) is controlled lengthways on the dolly between a position, in which the side support mechanisms (26) are engaged as mentioned above, with the first trailer, and an extended position where there is no engagement and the rigidity of the dolly is suspended.The dolly is hereby useable for all practical purposes with all types of vehicles.<IMAGE>
