Description
The invention relates to weather ducts for underground pit ventilation and, in particular, to such weather ducts which are protected against corrosion and also thermally insulated with regard to the warm, humid pit air. In such ducts, the present invention proposes to combine the previously separately taken measures of corrosion protection and thermal insulation by providing the ducts inside or outside or inside and outside with a coating that protects them against corrosion and at the same time has a heat-insulating effect.
It is well known that underground weather ducts, especially when they are laid in hot pits, are protected in two ways against the warm, humid pit air that prevails here, namely against corrosion, to which they are exposed due to the moisture content of the air, and then must be prevented that the pit heat penetrates over the duct wall into the interior of the duct in order to protect the fresh air passed through the air duct against warming as far as possible. While up to now the ducts have usually been protected against corrosion by applying a zinc coating, the thermal insulation is carried out in various ways. For example, the ducts were covered with a layer of asbestos or a similar insulating material, or a cavity was placed around the actual duct by sheathing, which was filled with an insulating material, evacuated or used for the passage of a coolant. All these measures give the duct an unattractive appearance and make it unwieldy, they increase its weight and also make it difficult to connect. of the individual ducts with each other for weather control. The latter is particularly disadvantageous if the weather line has to be relocated frequently.
In order to avoid the above-mentioned disadvantages associated with the previous duct designs, the present invention proposes combining the necessary and previously separately taken two measures of corrosion protection and thermal insulation by adding a protective layer to the ducts inside or outside or inside and outside the density and strength required for the mentioned purpose is applied, which protects the duct against corrosion and at the same time has a heat-insulating effect. Distillation residues from coal and petroleum, kieselguhr or similar products with the aforementioned properties can serve as a protective layer. Ceramic materials can also be expediently used for this purpose, for example by providing the duct with an enamel coating. A duct designed in this way is very simple and pleasing in terms of its shape, is not particularly heavy, and the individual ducts can be quickly and easily combined to form a weather conduit so that they can be separated from one another again just as quickly and easily.
In the drawing, the duct according to the invention is illustrated schematically in one embodiment, namely Fig. 1 shows a duct in view, while Fig. 2 shows a partial section thereof on an enlarged scale.
Mit 1 ist die Luttenwandung bezeichnet und 2 sind die in diesem Falle innen und aussen aufgebrachten Schichtschichten aus den obenerwähnten Werkstoffen für die gleichzeitige Verhinderung der Korrosion und Verleihung eines Wärmeschutzes.1 with the duct wall is designated and 2 are the layers of the above-mentioned materials applied in this case on the inside and outside for the simultaneous prevention of corrosion and the provision of thermal protection.
