DEUTSCHES PATENTAMTGERMAN PATENT OFFICE
In remote control, it often depends on objects or operational processes in a particular counting reversible order. For example, in Eisenba'bn-Sioheru.ng-s.wesen the evacuation or occupation of a route determined that the axles of trains at Entering and exiting the track to be monitored or out of the track to be monitored are counted will. In many cases, a different display is only used for the evacuation and occupation of the Track requested, since the number of axles in the track section is not of interest. In addition, there are also tasks such. B. with track level indicators, which is the exact number of the axes is to be determined and displayed.
One has already gone over to using relay chains, whereby one uses in more recent times especially developed for the axle counting relay chains, the can be switched forward and backward. Such counting chains allow a reversal the counting payment, so that for deposit and counting instead of the otherwise required two, which can only be incremented in one direction

Counting chains only one relay is needed. The individual chain links of these reversible counting chains contain several current paths, one part for the up-counting, the other part is effective for the countdown. Several such counting chains can form an arrangement of counting chains be put together, with at least one relay in each chain via a special I have to be constantly dressed for the ίο to mark the counting result achieved in each case.
So muß ■/.. The contact effort in reversible counting chains cannot fall below a certain minimum due to the necessary dependency on the respective previous counting position and on the counting direction. So must ■ / .. II. In the current path for up counting of any relay η a working contact of the relay (// - i) and a normally closed contact of the relay (// 2), in the current path for down counting a working contact of the relay (n + 1) and a normally closed contact of the relay (»ί + 2) lie. In the I laltestronic circuit of the relay 11 , a normally closed contact of the relays (// - 1) and (; / + 1) and a self-closing contact of the relay η are required in the circuits proposed so far. Attempts have been made to reduce the contact requirement by increasing the number of windings by providing the Kelten relays with a response winding for each counting direction and an initial winding. This circuit then enabled a partial merging of response and current circuits as well as a combination of break contacts and make contacts to form a changeover contact.
A portable contact effort for the mutual dependency, which is important in the relays used in telecommunications, is only achieved if one uses relay chains with three or four (elements. In these cases either the relay () (- 1) with the Relay (// - I- 1) or the relay (n - 2) are identical to the relay (// - | - 2), so that some of the contacts are not required for the dependency within the chain, but for tasks <kr control and display is available. The possible display is limited to a few cases, ■ / .. II. the track occupancy, which does not require display of the absolute chain position, but only the relative chain position deviating from the (basic position). However, if the counting chains are not based on the decimal system, but on a three or four-digit system, an absolute position indication is only possible through further contact combinations, which are not available on the chain relay itself and are one s would require additional work on auxiliary relays.
The finding is based on the task of finding a Build up a relay chain for forward and reverse running with little need for contacts, thus even with any number, preferably ten chain links, of the z. B. at Fcrnmelderclais conventional design existing fifteen contact springs a sufficient number of Contacts for the absolute display and evaluation of the chain position are available. According to the invention this is achieved in that relays with a response, a hold and a reset winding are used and that the switch-on circuits of the response and the Reset winding are put together so that the Wickktngen in common circuits lying contacts of the other chain relays for forward switching and reverse switching bring about opposite positions of the relays.
Instead of switching off the holding winding, the invention is connected to the Reset winding instead. This enables some of the dependency contacts to be sequentially for opposite change of state «! to use the chain relay and the opposite of others Circuits to use freed contacts for the display of the chain position.
The circuit can also be made by combining normally open and normally open contacts, which are in circuits of different relays, listed for a changeover contact in this way that a minimum of contact springs are required for the dependency within the relay chain is.
By using reset windings, it is possible to have only one in the holding circuit Get along with self-closing contact. The provision is expediently done by a short-term reset pulse that is given automatically when each counting pulse ends. In particular one can use the discharge currents of capacitors for this purpose, which during of a previous count pulse of a certain direction.
In the drawing, exemplary embodiments of the invention are shown. Fig. 1 shows a five-link counting chain with the counting relays ο to 4. Each relay has a response winding a, cine holding winding Ii and a reset winding r. The contacts of the chain relays are provided with two-digit reference numerals, with the first number indicating the associated relay. Contacts 101 to 107 and 201 to 207 simulate the counting pulses generated in any way, namely contacts 101 to 107 for counting up and contacts 201 to 207 for counting down. It is assumed that a simultaneous actuation of the contacts for opposite counting direction is impossible.
In the basic position of the relay, all contacts have dropped out. When the button contact T is pressed, the relay ο responds via the holding winding h and brings the relay chain into its starting position. The working contact 05 in the circuit of the reset winding or iao and the working contact 06 in the circuit of the holding winding oh is closed. Contacts 01 to 04 in the circuits of the other chain relays change their position. The relay ο remains on contact 06 after opening the T button until it is thrown off at the next counting step.

At the first counting pulse for upward counting, the relay ι responds via the winding ι α and via the contacts ιοί, oi, 43, 104 and, after the pulse has ended, remains on its contact 16 and the holding winding for 1 h. If the contacts 101 and 104 return to the position shown after the counting pulse has ended, the reset winding r of the relay ο is excited via the line Li and the contacts 51, 102, 201, 12, 24, 05. The effect of the holding winding ο h is neutralized by the reset winding ο r , and the relay ο drops out. His contacts then assume the position shown.
In gleicher Weise wirken die Kontakte 61 und 202.Contacts 51, 61 of auxiliary relays 5 and 6 cause the lines L 1 and L 2 to be de-energized between the counting steps and always only on At the end of each counting pulse, give a short reset pulse to the counting relays, with up counting over the line Li, when counting down over the line L 2. Since the relay 5 of the contact 106 is dependent, which is actuated simultaneously with the contact 102, the contact changes 51 its position always a little later than the contact 102. So the contact 102 becomes again .Closed, the line Li is on the trailing Contact 51 is only briefly connected to the power source. Act in the same way contacts 61 and 202.
In the event of a second counting pulse in the same counting direction, relay 2 is made to respond via contacts 11 and 03 and relay 1 is made to drop out via contacts 22 and 34 in a similar manner. In this state of the relay chain, the contacts 21, 22, 25, 26 are closed and the contacts 23, 24 are open. The other contacts assume the position shown. If a counting pulse is now given in the opposite counting direction, the response winding α of the relay 1 is excited via the contacts 201, 22, 34, 204. At the end of the pulse, the reset winding r of the relay 2 is excited via the line L 2 and the contacts 61, 202, 101, 11, 03, 25, so that the relay 2 drops out. In the event of a further counting pulse in the same counting direction, ie for counting down, the relay ο is activated via the winding ο α and via the contacts 201 12, 24, 203 and then relay 1 via the parts 61, 202, L 2, 101, 01, 43, ir, 15 made to fall off.
If one designates relay 1 in a generally valid form with η and accordingly relay ο with (n- 1), relay 2 with (n - \ - 1), relay 3 with (w + 2) etc., the relay becomes η triggered when counting up, ie when changing from the counting position (w — 1) to η via a normally open contact of the relay (n — 1), e.g. contact 01, when counting down, ie when changing from the counting position (n + 1) to η Via a relay contact 22 of the relay (w + i), e.g. contact 22. The relay η is dropped after the transition of the counting chain to the counting position (n + 1) via a normally open contact 22 of the relay (n + 1) and after the transition into the counting position (n - 1) by a normally open contact 01 of the relay (n - 1).
Es führen also dieselben Kontakte, z. So there are the same contacts, z. B. the contact 01 or 22, when counting up and counting down, opposite changes of state of the relay η bring about. The normally closed contacts 34 and 43 in the circuit of relay 1, ie contacts of relay (w + 2) and (n - 2), are required so that the chain does not make two steps on one counting pulse.
Fig. 2 shows how the reset pulses can be given in a simple manner with the aid of capacitors and how at the same time the condition is met that the lines Li, L2 are de-energized between the reset pulses. During the counting pulses, capacitor C ι is charged via contact 107 when counting up, and capacitor C 2 via contact 207 when counting down. The reset of the respective relay to be switched off is then effected at the end of the counting pulse via the pulse contact 107 or 207 that closes again and the non-actuated changeover contact 201 or 101 in the opposite counting direction by the discharge current of the respectively charged capacitor. The capacitors are dimensioned so that their charge is just sufficient to excite a reset winding. Through the resistors Ri and R 2 , the residual charge of the capacitors is eliminated after the switching operation has ended, so that an incorrect relay, e.g. B. the relay that was switched on at the previous counting pulse is prevented.
In Fig. Ι the response windings of immediately adjacent relays, ie the relays (n-1), n, (n + 1), via separate parallel pulse contacts 103, 203 or 104, 204 or 105, 205 with the power source connected. This division is useful so that the reset pulses for any relay η cannot act on this relay via the response winding α of this relay and the response winding and the reset winding of the relay (n- 1) or (n + 1) connected in the previous counting process.
One can get by with only one pair of contacts 103, 203 if, as shown in FIG. 3, blocking cells are arranged in the lines of the response windings. In the example shown, it is sufficient to provide only three blocking cells 51, 52, 53 if the circuit is such that the relays («· −1), n, (n + 1) are connected to separate blocking cells.
Man könnte dann z. If a ten-link relay chain were to be constructed in the same way as in FIG. 1, only a fourth group of pulse contacts or a fourth blocking cell would be required in order to avoid fault currents. You could then z. B. connect the relay ο to the first blocking cell, the relays 1, 4, 7 or 2, 5, 8 or 3, 6, 9 to the second, third and fourth blocking cell, in order to separate the circuits of the relays (n —I), n, (n + 1) to achieve.
As can be seen from Fig. 1, are for the mutual Dependency of the chain relays a total of only six contacts with twelve contact
