Bei dem bekannten Kragenknopf dieser Art, der in seinen wesentlichen Teilen aus Blech ausgestanzt werden kann, sind die beiden Fußplatten rechteckig und¹ mit seitlichem Zungen bzw. Nasen versehen, die den Sitz im Schlitz des Knopfloches sichern und ein leichtes Einknöpfen ermöglichen sollen. Bei diesem Kragenknopf ist der Schaft nicht im Zentrum der beiden Fußplatten, ■ sondern seitwärts angeordnet. Neben sonstigen Nachteilen, beispielsweise Schwierigkeiten beim Einknöpfen, haftet diesem Kragenknopf der Nachteil an, daß durch die exzentrische Anordnung.des Schaftes bei starkem Druck auf dessen Kopfende dieser die Neigung hat, seitwärts auszuweichen und sich in Schräglage zu stellen.
