In the German patent 719 302 a disazo is described, which differs from the process according to obtained dyes differs in that it is not water-soluble in the phenylamino radical making group. Compared to the complex copper compound of this well-known disazo dye the complex copper compounds obtained according to the process have the advantage of one better leveling ability.

The tetrazotization product is then combined in the presence of excess sodium carbonate initially with 16 parts of 2-oxybenzene-i-carboxylic acid and, once the diazoazo compound has been formed, with 39.5 parts of 2-phenylamino-8-oxynaphthalene-6, 3'-disulfonic acid. This second coupling can be accelerated by adding a little pyridine. After coupling has ended, the dye is deposited by adding 15 parts of sodium chloride per 100 parts by volume of the reaction mixture. For conversion into the copper complex compound of the dyestuff is dissolved at 80 to 85 ° in 3000 parts of water are initially 15 parts of crystallized sodium acetate and 50 parts of 84 ° / o acetic acid, then 25 parts of crystalline copper sulfate, dissolved in 100 parts of water are added and

Der Farbstoff, der vollständig gelöst ist, wird durch Zugabe von 350 Teilen Natriumchlorid abgeschieden; nach dem Filtrieren und Trocknen erhält man ein braunschwarzes Farbstoffpulver, das sich in konzentrierter Schwefelsäure mit roter, in Wasser oder verdünnter Natriumcarboniatlösung mit brauner Farbe löst und das auf Baumwolle gefärbt lichtechte Brauntöne ergibt.can be stirred for ι hour at 80 to 85 0. The dye, which is completely dissolved, is deposited by adding 350 parts of sodium chloride; After filtering and drying, a brown-black dye powder is obtained which dissolves in concentrated sulfuric acid with red, in water or dilute sodium carbonate solution with a brown color and which, when dyed on cotton, gives light-fast brown tones.
,A dye with approximately the same properties is obtained in the following way: 5-acetylamino-2-aminobenzoic acid is diazotized and in alkaline solution with 2-amino-8-oxynaphthalene-6-sulfonic acid coupled. The acetylamino group is then split, the aminoazo dye with p-nitrobenzoyl chloride acetylated, the nitro group is reduced to the amino group, this is diazotized and the diazo compound coupled with 2-oxybenzene-i-carboxylic acid. The coppering takes place as indicated above, i.e. H. With ι moles of copper to 1 mole of disazo dye. But you can also first copper the aminobenzoylamino dye and the coupling with the oxybenzenecarboxylic acid perform last. ,

If 2-phenylamino-8-oxynaphthalene-6 is used in place of 39.5 parts, 3'-disulfonic acid 35.9 parts of 2-phenylamino-8-oxynaphthalene-6-sulfonic acid-3'-carboxylic acid, a relatively sparingly soluble copper complex is obtained, which is expedient by slurrying is converted into the sodium salt in a little water and sodium carbonate. As such, the Dye is a black powder that is dried in concentrated sulfuric acid with red in water dissolves with brown paint and dyes cotton in lightfast brown tones.
In the manner indicated above, the tetrazo compounds of the diamines can also be used Column II of the table below, the first (column I) and the second (column III) azo components Disazo dyes and produce complex copper compounds from them.
