Die vorstehende Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Fahrzeug, zu dessen Antrieb ein Explosionsmotor in Verbindung mit einem hydraulischen Motor verwendet wird, zu dem Zwecke, bei Steigungen eine gröfsere Kraft entwickeln zu können, ohne die Räderübersetzung ändern zu müssen. Der Zweck der Erfindung besteht darin, den Nachtheil, welcher den Gas- und Oelmotoren anhaftet, nämlich dafs man dieselben von Hand anlaufen lassen mufs, zu vermeiden und den Wagen direct, ohne vorheriges Andrehen der Maschine, in Bewegung setzen zu können.The above invention relates to a vehicle which is powered by an explosion engine is used in conjunction with a hydraulic motor for the purpose of developing greater power on inclines without having to change the gear ratio. Die Antriebsvorrichtung besteht im Wesentlichen darin, dafs der Motor α nicht direct auf die Räder des Fahrzeuges wirkt, sondern dafs er eine Pumpe b treibt, welche das aus dem Behälter kommende Wasser in einen Windkessel c prefst, aus welchem dann das unter Druck stehende Wasser zu dem hydraulischen Motor d geleitet wird, der mittelst der beiden Riemen- oder Kettenscheiben η die Welle 0, welche die Wagenräder trägt, antreibt. Dasselbe kann in bekannter Weise mittelst der Kugeln ν mit dem gezahnten, fest auf der Achse sitzenden Rade t gekuppelt werden. Läuft der Motor bezw. das mit ihm verbundene Rad p, wie es während des Betriebes stets der Fall ist, schneller als das Rad t, so befinden sich die Kugeln in der gezeichneten Lage und das Rad ρ läuft unabhängig vom Rade t. Steht aber der Motor und mit ihm das Fahrzeug still, so kann man letzteres durch den vom Behälter c gespeisten hydraulischen Motor in Bewegung setzen. Hierbei treten aber die Kugeln ν in Wirkung, indem sie das Radi mitj> kuppeln und dadurch den Primärmotor in Bewegung setzen. Hat der letztere seine normale Geschwindigkeit erlangt, so tritt die Kupplung wieder aufser Thätigkeit.
