Das Verfahren beruht auf der Benutzung von Aethenyltriamidonaphtalin der Zusammensetzung The method relies on the use of ethenyltriamidonaphthalene in the composition
C-CH,C-CH,
welches bisher eine technische Verwendung zur Darstellung von Disazofarbstoffen nicht gefunden zu haben scheint.which up to now has not been used technically for the preparation of disazo dyes seems to have found.
Mel do la and Streatfield (Chem. Soc. 1887,1, 6g 1-700 and B. XX, R. 631), but these seem dyes of technical value not to have shown.
In dem Journ. of the Chem. soc. In the Journ. of the Chem. soc. 1887, I is only mentions the representation of a single simple azo dye, namely that from Aethenyltriamidonaphtalin and ß-NaphtoI. About the behavior of this dye, which in Water is as good as insoluble, compared to the animal or vegetable fiber found no information. Other dyes besides the one just mentioned are not yet available shown, nor described in any way. Secondary disazo dyes with Ethenyltriamidonaphthalene are not mentioned at all.
It has now been found that the secondary disazo dyes prepared with this base from the dyes obtained so far in a similar way distinguish that they are mainly suitable for the vegetable fiber, while the previous secondary disazo dyes are used especially for wool, which they are used in mostly dark to black tones; Cotton, on the other hand, is made by themselves Dyed only to a dark gray using high percent of dye.
Even the simple combinations of Aethenyltriamidonaphtalins with the well-known Amido - and oxynaphthalene sulfonic acids, as well as the m-diamines show an excellent Affinity to the cotton fiber, which is caused by the intermediate storage of a further diazotizable Amido body is so significantly increased that the dyes become distinct cotton colors will; yes, some of the disazo dyes obtainable in this way give their color strength even with those generally used Diamines (benzidine, etc.) produced dyes.
B. aus a-Naphtylamindisulfosäure und Diphenyl-m-phenylendiarnin einerseits und aus m - Sulfanilsäure und m-Phenylendiamin andererseits zeigen nur eine geringe bezw. gar keine Verwandtschaft zur Baumwollfaser, undIn Patents Nos. 42992 and 61202 are secondary disazo dyes called, which also have the property of being unheated Strongly stain cotton. The dyes of both patents serve as the middle component a-naphthylamine, and they owe their ability to stain unheated vegetable fibers, only, and only the middle naphthylenediamine residue. The two dyes z. B. from a-naphthylamine disulfonic acid and diphenyl-m-phenylenediarnine on the one hand and from m-sulfanilic acid and m-phenylenediamine on the other show only a small respectively. no relationship to cotton fibers at all, and
' So erhält man z. Completely different are the proportions of the disazo dyes under discussion here with ethenyltriamidonaphthalene. Here it is especially the ethenyl base which causes the strong relationship to the unheated vegetable fiber. 'So you get z. B. with the (one of the above corresponding corresponding) dye Ethenyltriamidonaphthalene and m-pbenylenediamine a good, usable, brown color. Another valuable property of the azo dyes prepared with the ethenyl base, especially the basic cotton, the unheated cotton is also emphasized to be stained vigorously in an acid bath, as a result of which they permit a peculiar utilization.
Is now in the dye mentioned from Aethenyltriamidonaphtalin and m - phenylenediamine the paranaphthylenediamine residue was introduced in the middle position, i.e. the dye from Aethenyltriamidonaphtalin -) - α - Naphtylamin -j- m - phenylenediamine produced, so with this dye, deep chocolate-brown colorations are achieved with a strength as it has never before been achieved with secondary disazo dyes. It will again remarked that this dye too can best be treated in an unheated bath in an acetic acid bath Cotton is dyed. The close relationship that can be represented with the ethenyl base Azo dyes for unheated vegetable fibers were also used in the following simple azo dyes established:
1. Farbstoff aus Aethenyltriamidonaphtalin und Nitro - m - phenylendiamin (färbt ungeheizte Baumwolle in essigsaurem Bade lebhaft orange).1. Dye made from ethenyltriamidonaphthalene and nitro-m-phenylenediamine (stains unheated Cotton in an acetic acid bath, bright orange).
2. Farbstoff aus Aethenyltriamidonaphtalin und Nitro - m - toluylendiamin (färbt ähnlich Nr. i).2. Dye made from ethenyltriamidonaphthalene and nitro - m - toluylenediamine (colors similarly No. i).
Dye from ethenyltriamidonaphthalene and diphenyl-m-phenylenediamine (the dye is insoluble in water, but can be dissolved in acetic acid with the help of alcohol Color the bath and make it brown).
Dye made from ethenyltriamidonaphthalene and amidonaphthol sulfonic acid (stains unheated Cotton in an alkaline bath blue-gray).
The easy solubility of ethenyltriamidonaphthalene makes it possible to produce disazo dyes which contain only one sulfo group and are nevertheless easily soluble. With the aid of the ethenyl base, one arrives at 1 disazo dyes, which dye the cotton fiber in deep shades with just a few percent of dye; these colorations become extremely washable and lightfast by re-coppering.
All amido bodies which can be further diazotized and capable of coupling can be used as the middle component; The following are primarily used: a-naphthylamine, m-phenylenoxamic acid, m-tolylenoxamic acid and U 1 - naphthylamine-ß 4 -sulfonic acid.
With regard to the two oxamic acids, it is noted that these are already included in the procedure of patent no. 96769, addendum to patent no. 86791, as middle components for Representation of secondary disazo dyes are used, and as there, so too here other acidyl-m-diamines of the benzene series, e.g. B. acetyl- or benzoyl-m-diamines, can be used.
Als Endcomponenten dienen kupplungsfähige Amine, Phenole, Amidophenole und deren Sulfo- oder Carbonsäuren.Amines, phenols, amidophenols and capable of coupling serve as end components their sulfo or carboxylic acids.

Nach ein- bis zweistündigem Rühren in der Kälte wird die gebildete Diazoverbindung zu einer Lösung von 24 kg Amidonaphtolsulfosäure G und 25 kg Soda in ca. 500 1 Wasser gegeben; die Färb-27 kg of hydrochloric acid ethenyltriamidonaphthalene are mixed with a mixture of 25 kg of hydrochloric acid (20 ° C.) and 500 1 of water and cooled to 0 ° C. with ice, the hydrochloric acid ethenyl base, which was initially dissolved, partially separating out again. A solution of 7 kg of sodium nitrite in approx. 70 kg of water is quickly added, a clear brown-yellow to yellow (depending on the purity of the ethenyl base used) solution immediately forming. The diazotization takes place immediately. The mixture is stirred with good cooling for 15 minutes and then the diazo solution is added to a well-cooled solution of 18 kg of hydrochloric acid a-naphthylamine in about 1500 liters of water to which 5 to 6 liters of glacial acetic acid have been added. The clutch begins immediately; After stirring for half an hour, 30 kg of crystallized sodium acetate in about 250 liters of water are added, the mixture is stirred for a further half an hour, and left to stand for a while with frequent stirring. Since the intermediate product does not separate, table salt is added and it is obtained in blue-black, long-fiber flakes, which are filtered off. The intermediate product is then mixed with a mixture of 25 kg of hydrochloric acid and 750 liters of water and again diazotized with 7 kg of sodium nitrite while cooling with ice. After stirring in the cold for one to two hours, the diazo compound formed is added to a solution of 24 kg of amidonaphthol sulfonic acid G and 25 kg of soda in approx. 500 l of water; the coloring

The dye stains unheated cotton in gray-black to black shades; the fiber coupling with m-toluenediamine is deep black.

Nach einstündigem Rühren wird die Diazoverbindung zu einer Lösung von 10,8 kg m-Phenylendiamin und 50 kg Soda in ca. 600 bis 800 1 Wasser laufen gelassen.27 kg of hydrochloric acid ethenyltriamidonaphthalene are diazotized as in Example I. The diazo solution is run into a well-cooled solution of 24.5 kg of Ct 1 -naphthylamine-β 4 -sulfonic acid in 500 l of water, the intermediate product immediately separating out in a deep brown color. After stirring for half an hour, 35 kg of crystallized sodium acetate, dissolved in 250 water, are added, the color of the intermediate product changing to a lighter brown. The mixture is then stirred for a further half an hour with continued cooling, and the intermediate product is then quickly filtered off. The filter contents were then mixed with 750 1 of water, 25 kg of hydrochloric acid (20 0 B.), stirred and diazotirt again with 7 kg of sodium nitrite. After stirring for one hour, the diazo compound is allowed to run into a solution of 10.8 kg of m-phenylenediamine and 50 kg of soda in about 600 to 800 liters of water.
Der Farbstoff wird in bekannter Weise isolirt; er färbt ungeheizte Baumwolle in schwarzen Tönen an.The dye is isolated in a known manner; he dyes unheated cotton in black tones.

Farbstoff aus 1 Mol. Aethenyltriamidonaphtalin, ι Mol. Äj-Naphtylamin-ß4-sulfosäure und 1 Mol. Resorcin.Dye from 1 mol. Aethenyltriamidonaphtalin, ι mol. Äj-Naphtylamin-ß 4 -sulfonic acid and 1 mol. Resorcinol.
The Diazotirung of hydrochloric acid Aethenyltriamidonaphtalins and preparation of the intermediate Productes carried out exactly according to Example II. The intermediate product is then as further diazotirt in Example II and a solution of 11 kg of resorcinol, 20 kg of sodium hydroxide (40 0 B.) and 20 kg of soda in ca. 500 1 water coupled. The dye is isolated in a known manner after standing for 24 hours; he stains unheated cotton extremely vigorously in splendid bluish-red tones.
Beispiel IV.Example IV.
Farbstoff aus 1 Mol. Aethenyltriamidonaphtalin, ι Mol. m-Phenylenoxaminsäure und 1 Mol. Amidonaphtolsulfosäure G.Dye from 1 mol. Aethenyltriamidonaphtalin, ι Mol. M-Phenylenoxamic acid and 1 mole. Amidonaphtholsulfonic acid G.
Der Farbstoff wird nach 24stündigem Stehen in bekannter Weise aufgearbeitet; er färbt ungeheizte Baumwolle in dunkelbraunen Tönen.27 kg of hydrochloric acid ethenyltriamidonaphthalene are diazotized as in Example I and coupled with a solution of 18 kg of m-phenylenoxamic acid and 25 kg of soda in 500 l of water. The intermediate product is partly separated, and is completely precipitated by means of table salt, after stirring for about an hour with good cooling. The abßltrirte intermediate product is then (20 0 B.) are mixed with 750 1 of water to which 25 kg of hydrochloric acid, stranded and further diazotirt with 7 kg of sodium nitrate. "After several hours of stirring under cooling, the diazo compound to a solution of 24 kg Amidonaphtolsulfosäure G is and 25 kg of soda are added to about 500 l of water and the dye is worked up in a known manner after standing for 24 hours and dyes unheated cotton in dark brown shades.
In this example, the 18 kg of m-phenylenoxamic acid replaced by 19.4 kg of m-toluene oxamic acid, a dye is obtained which dyes unheated cotton dark gray.
Farbstoff aus 1 Mol. Aethenyltriamidonaphtalin, ι Mol. Phenylenoxa mi η säure und 1 Mol. m-Phenylendiamin. Dye from 1 mol. Aethenyltriamidonaphtalin, ι Mol. Phenylenoxa mi η acid and 1 mol. m-phenylenediamine.
Soda in 500 1 Wasser gekuppelt. Der Farbstoff färbt ungeheizte Baumwolle in essigsaurem Bade braun.27 kg of hydrochloric acid ethenyltriamidonaphthalene are diazotized as in Example I and with a solution of 18 kg of m-phenylenoxamic acid and 25 kg of calc. Soda in 500 l of water coupled. The intermediate product is continued with 7 kg of sodium nitrite and 40 kg of hydrochloric acid diazotized as in Example IV. The finished diazo compound is now added to a solution of 11 kg of m-phenylenediamine and 40 kg of soda in 500 liters of water. The dye that is deposited is filtered off, dissolved in dilute hydrochloric acid and, if necessary,. ifiltrirt. Table salt then separates the new azo dye from this solution in the form of a brown powder away. The dye dyes unheated cotton brown in an acetic acid bath.
In this example, the phenylenoxamic acid is replaced by the equivalent amount of m-tolylenoxamic acid and the m-phenylenediamine is replaced by m-tolylenediamine, a brown dye is likewise obtained of a somewhat deeper shade, the likewise unheated cotton in acetic acid Bath stains vigorously. These two dyes also turn wool usable brown colored.
