Description

Pump unit in which the pump impeller and the rotor of the electric motor are housed in a common space The invention relates to a pump unit, in which the pump impeller and the rotor of the electric motor are in a common space are housed and rotor, stator core, stator flange and shaft of the pump impeller Protected against the conveyed liquid by means of an elastic plastic protective layer are.

It is known to use a relatively protective layer in such cases to use thick-walled rubber layer, which is vulcanized onto the engine parts. By this measure, however, the risk is accepted that the winding will be temperature-damaged will. It is also known to make the winding space through a shell or a wall Mica or synthetic resins that can withstand high temperatures from the rest Separate parts of the engine. However, these shells or walls are not elastic enough to cover that caused by heating in all operating cases Changes in length of the machine parts provided with them yield without cracking.

It has now been found that these disadvantages are eliminated when the Protective layer made from a reaction product of low molecular weight polyester from dicarboxylic acids and di- or triols and diisocyanates. These conversion products have their use as a protective layer for the present special case of pump units shown that they with increasing exposure to heat at the same time Gain elasticity without losing their hard surface. These conversion products are on the one hand corrosion-resistant enough as a protective layer for the above case to protect the To be able to withstand chemical stresses caused by the medium to be conveyed, on the other hand they also have enough elasticity to withstand the thermal movements of the to be protected Parts to be able to follow. While the synthetic resins used as a protective layer up to now for example in the special case of a pump motor for liquid chlorine fail and hence such motors with a can with the acceptance of a motor efficiency of about 420 / o and a cos 9 of about 0.625, the engine retains its high values (efficiency about 89% and cos 99 about 0.89).

The design of such a pump is shown in principle in the figure shown. The motor part contains the stator laminated core I with the winding 2 and the rotor 3. The slots of the stator are preferably filled with putty, which is produced, for example, on the basis of the abovementioned condensation product is, so that there is a smooth stator surface. At the front is the Stator completed by the flanges 4. The stator core and, if necessary, the flanges 4 are also provided with the protective coating on the inside, which covers the stand part of the motor protects against the corrosive influences of the medium. A similar one Protective coating is also applied to the rotor 3 and the shaft 6. The waterproofing the inside of the motor to the outside through seals 7 between the flanges 4 and the bearing housings 8 and 9. Of course, the bearing housings Protect 8 and 9 in the same way. The coolant paths shown in the drawing Io, II and I2 as well as the conveying element I3 for the cooling medium do not belong to the subject the invention. Instead of the protective coating based on lacquer, you can in particular also provide an elastic film to protect the stator I and the flanges 4, which in a known manner against all sides by the internal pump overpressure the pad is pressed. So the film can be thin because the overprint of the base (e.g. the stator) is added.
