Letzteres wird dadurch erreicht, dafs man den Vorschub des Werkstückes oder des Schneidstahls in Richtung der Werkstückdrehachse beim Bearbeiten der Spitze allmählich verlangsamt. Es ist dadurch ermöglicht, die Gewindegänge bis zur Spitze scharf zu gestalten, ohne dafs der Gewindeschneidstahl zu weit gegen das Arbeitsstück vorgeschoben zu werden braucht. Der Vorschub des Werkstücks oder des Stahls wird durch eine Curvenscheibe s bewerkstelligt.
