Description
In analoger Weise
It was also found that there were qualitative differences in smoking between corresponding groups of substances of different tobacco not to be recognized are when both tobaccos are of the same tobacco group, i.e. H. the sour or the belong to alkaline group. Since changes of provenance are either two Will be cigar tobacco or two cigarette tobacco, and cigar tobacco mostly there alkaline, cigarette tobacco mostly belong to the acidic group of tobacco, thus consistently have the corresponding groups of substances from the same tobacco practically the same smoke qualities. Based on these findings, it was continued found that a tobacco of provenance A has the smoking qualities of a tobacco Provenance B can be conferred by considering the chemical composition of tobacco A based on tobacco analyzes of the composition of tobacco B by adding the the tobacco. A lack of quantities of the various important for the smoke quality Approximates substance groups of tobacco. The practical implementation of such a "re-tuning" of tobacco A depends primarily on a comparison of the analyzes of tobacco A and B from. Smoke samples are only considered secondarily when the mood is changed is carried out and the mixtures of tobacco substances produced on the basis of the analyzes in qualitative and quantitative terms in terms of their effects on the treated Tobacco should be checked and possibly corrected.
When performing the analyzes of the tobacco, there is no one As far as possible determination of individual tobacco substances, of which only nicotine emerges, but on the determination of the patent application G 15114 IV a / 7g c named and then to be obtained from tobacco waste groups of hydrocarbons, of flavorings, nicotine bases, pectins and pentosans and cellulose and Builders.
It is therefore sufficient to carry out the analyzes of tobacco A and B in general, if you a) both tobacco in succession with a hydrophobic solvent, z. B. trichlorethylene, then with water and finally with dilute mineral acid, z. B. sulfuric acid, extracted and in the extract solutions obtained, which about Have absorbed 80% of the dry matter of the tobacco, the dry matter content, also the last residue from the three extractions, which cellulose and Contains builders, determined b) those obtained with hydrophobic solvents The extract is separated into two fractions with methanol and the fractions are insoluble in alcohol Determines hydrocarbons and the aromatic substances soluble in alcohol, c) if necessary, the fraction of the flavoring substances reduced by fractional distillation under Print to zo-E Torr. further decomposed, d) the sugar content in the water extract and determined on organic acids, e) the nicotine content according to known methods determined, f) possibly in the tobacco to be compared those with hydrophilic organic solvents, e.g. B. with methanol, determined extract to be obtained, which is about 30 ° / b of tobacco substances soluble in organic solvents and water contains.
The possibilities for using the described procedure for), retuning " of tobaccos extend firstly to any two cigar tobaccos, secondly on any two cigarette tobaccos, if both tobaccos are alkaline or belong to the acidic tobacco group and the associated tobacco waste is available stand. If one tobacco belongs to the alkaline group, a second tobacco group which belongs to sour tobacco and the wastes represent unknown mixtures chemical analyzes of tobacco and waste and a refined chemical analysis of each change increased number of systematically carried out smoke tests.
For the practical implementation of the voting procedure, the According to patent application G z5114 IVaJ7gc groups of substances obtained from tobacco waste or their factions used. The tobacco to be changed on the basis of the tobacco analyzes missing Experience has shown that quantities of tobacco substances do not always need complete, but rather often only to a certain fraction, which can be determined by smoke samples, e.g. B. to 7o to 20 ° / o to be supplied. Smoke samples can also be used to determine that sometimes whole groups of substances, z. B. those of the pentosans and pectins or those of the organic acids, can be omitted without the effect of retuning is endangered. In special cases in which tobacco waste is inexpensively composed are available, it is even possible to use an extract, e.g. B. the one with methanol to get along because this in one operation about 30% of the tobacco ingredients, including all hydrocarbons and flavorings, all nicotine bases, plus all Contains sugar and some of the organic acids in favorable proportions able to approximately fill the gaps in the tobacco to be changed.
The leeway that a tobacco has with each retuning in relation to both on the quality as well as the quantity of the missing or in their effect The presence of groups of substances to be weakened by hydrocarbons depends on this together that the tobacco to be changed - z. B. - in aqueous emulsion - applied Tobacco substances adhere to the surface of the tobacco or tobacco clippings, etc. and therefore their volatile components more quickly and to a greater extent in tobacco smoke can release and act as the same ones enclosed in the plant cells original tobacco substances of the tobacco leaf. The latter are taken before they smoke burst the cell walls and merge into the smoke, partly burned in the smoldering zone and therefore do not appear as flavoring and odorous substances as it would be expected according to its quantity and nature.
The application of the tobacco substances to the tobacco to be converted can by Spraying or nozzles of solutions or of aqueous emulsions, which with known Emulsifiers have been produced.
With cigarette tobacco you can control the supply of tobacco substances with the Combine the processes of saucing and roasting.
Beispiele i. The effect of the supplied mixtures of substances on the smoker is expedient Determined by smoke tests until the optimum effect with a minimum of tobacco substances is reached. Examples i. Cigarette tobacco comes with a hydrophobic organic solvents, such as trichlorethylene, exhaustively extracted. @ The extract is then dissolved in three times the weight of boiling alcohol and separated from the deposited precipitate after cooling. After the thorough Wash out the precipitate with cold, fresh alcohol, the combined The filtrate was concentrated to a 10% strength solution. Then 100 g becomes German Middle class Virginia tobacco with 26 cc of the above 100% alcoholic solution evenly moistened and further processed in a known manner. The one so prepared middle class German virgin tobacco is of a good smoking quality Overseas Virgin indistinguishable.
Nach einem Vorlauf erhält man zwischen ioo und 13o° etwa 2,8 g eines angenehm süßlich-tabakartig riechenden Öls von hellgelber Farbe.2. 100 g of cigarette tobacco dust is exhaustively extracted with benzene and the extract freed from the solvent (g, 4 g) in 35 cc of hot ethyl alcohol solved. After cooling, the precipitate which has separated out (3.5 g) is filtered off. The filtrate is freed from alcohol, finally under reduced pressure, and then the fractional distillation at io-3 Torr. subject. Received after a lead between 100 and 130 ° about 2.8 g of a pleasantly sweet tobacco-like smelling Oil of light yellow color.
Now 3.2 g of the portion of the benzene extract that is insoluble in cold alcohol are added and 2 g of the light yellow oil obtained in the high vacuum distillation with 5.8 g of deodorized Paraffinic hydrocarbon (DAB 6) with a melting point of 52 to 54 ° and a suitable, commercial emulsifier melted together.
Er ist in seinen Rauchqualitäten von einem Orienttabak mittlerer Klasse nicht zu unterscheiden.2 g of this mixture are emulsified in 10 cc of hot water and this emulsion applied evenly to 100 g of Virginia tobacco. The one according to the rule Treated Virginia tobacco is then processed like oriental tobacco. He is indistinguishable from a middle class oriental tobacco in its smoking qualities.
