Die Erfindung betrifS ein Rohr aus Polypropylen, das durch Extrasion eines hochmolekularen Polypropylen-Cohpotymerisats hergestellt und fur Wasserleitungszwecke, insbesondere als Heizungsrohr, unter relativ hohen Drücken und Temperaturen verwendbar ist.The invention relates to a pipe made of polypropylene, which is produced by extrasion of a high molecular weight polypropylene copolymer and can be used for water pipe purposes, in particular as a heating pipe, under relatively high pressures and temperatures.

Dabei ist beispielsweise für ein Rohr der Druckstufe PNlO für einen Durchmesser von 75 mm eine Wanddicke von 6,9 mm vorgeschrieben, was bedeutet, daß der freie Durchflußquerschnitt rund 60 mm beträgt. Wird jedoch die Druckstufe PN25 verlangt, beispielsweise für Heißwasserrohre, so ist für einen vergleichbaren Außendurchmesser von 75 mm nach der genannten DIN-Norm eine Rohrwandstärke von 15 mm vorgeschrieben, was bedeutet, daß sich der Durchflußquerschnitt auf 45 mm reduziert mit der Folge, daß sich die Durchflußmenge gegenüber einem Rohr der Druckstufe PlO nahezu halbiert.DIN 8077 concerns the calculation of the wall thickness of a pipe system made of polypropylene (PP) with an average density of 0.91 g/cm³.
