Bei der Montage muß die Sockelblende zunächst in ihre bestimmungsgemäße, aufrecht auf dem Boden aufstehende Lage gebracht werden, danach wird dann der Niederhalter aus einer oberen Stellung in der Vertikalnut des Möbelfußes nach unten hin niedergedrückt, bis er mit seinem Sicherungsarm auf der Oberkante der Sockelblende aufliegt und die Sockelblende in Richtung zum Boden hin beaufschlagt, wodurch die Sockelblende zwischen dem Blendenhalter und dem Boden verspannt wird. Da einerseits zwischen der Unterseite des betreffenden Möbels und dem als Niederhalter ausgebildeten Blendenhalter in der Regel wenig Platz vorhanden ist und zudem das Verspannen der Sockelblende zwischen dem Blendenhalter und dem Boden einige Kraft erfordert, benötigt man zum Betätigen des Blendenhalters ein Spezialwerkzeug, welches als sich an der Möbelunterseite abstützender Hebel ausgebildet ist.
