Die Erfindung betrifft eine Fächereinheit, insbesondere für den Wandeinbau in Geldinstituten mit mehreren mit einer 5 offenbaren einen Verschlußmechanismus aufweisenden Depotfachtür ausgestatteten Depotfächern zur Aufnahme von Deponaten, wie Geschäftspapieren, Wertpapieren, Autopapieren, Schecks, Scheckkarten, Schlüssel oder dgl. Das Geldinstitut kann mittels einer Masterkarte die Steuer-und Bedieneinheit einfach und vielfältig so programmieren, daß den verschiedenen Kunden ein bestimmtes Depotfach zugeteilt wird, zu welchem er mittels seiner ohnehin vorhandenen und kodierten EC-Karte Zutritt hat. Damit steht dem Kunden ein schlüssellos zu öffnendes und zu schließendes Depotfach des Geldinstituts zur Verfügung, welches äußerst manipulationssicher ist, da es von dem Geldinstitut mit der Kontonummer der EC-Karte des Kunden programmiert und nur unter Benutzung der EC-Karte des Kunden bzw. der Masterkarte des Geldinstituts geöffnet werden kann.
