Description

Technisches GebietTechnical field

The invention relates to a convertible locking system for room doors and valuables with a double-bit customer lock that actuates the main bolt and a double-bit management lock, the auxiliary bolt actuates the slide switch of the customer lock.

Stand der TechnikState of the art

From DT-OS 36 38 186.1 a convertible lock for room doors and valuables has become known, which can be operated by management and customers via various locking mechanisms. Each guest receives a key with a specific coding. The manager uses his key to switch the customer's locking system to the new coding. The coding changes from guest to guest and also when a key is lost. In a system to be protected, e.g. In a hotel, many thousands of different keys can belong, depending on the number of encodings. If keys are lost or not returned by guests, the number of keys and combinations available becomes smaller and smaller. For this reason, it is advisable to give the guest a deposit, e.g. in the form of a coin.

In the case of room safes, which are not required by every guest, the amount of money, e.g. a five-mark piece, can also be collected as a user fee. Then the hotel management has to make sure that the safe has been used and that the key has been returned by visiting the room.

Darstellung der ErfindungPresentation of the invention

The invention has for its object to relieve the staff and simplify the monitoring of the service.

The invention solves this problem in that a coin lock is placed on the back of the lock, the release lever of which blocks the main bolt of the lock in the closing direction until a coin is inserted.

In Fig. 1, 1 denotes the lock housing, which is preferably made by die casting.

The main bolt 2 of the customer lock is mounted in this housing and extends with several projections and recesses almost to the right edge of the housing. An auxiliary bolt 3 is arranged above the main bolt 2 and acts on a change-over slide 17 of the customer lock via a pin 10. From this slide, which is shown in Fig. 6, only the cutting pin 6 is visible here, which snaps into the tumbler package 8. Tour pins 2a, 3a are integrated into the bolts and are included in the tumbler packages with each opening process 8, 9 intervene.

The tumbler packages 8, 9 are provided in their right area with elongated holes and a coding toothing, into which the cutting pins 6, 7 snap. The elongated holes comprise guide columns 1a, 1b, which are part of the housing 1. With 1c, 1d fixed key guide mandrels are designated.

A pin 11 is attached to the changeover slide 17. When the customer lock is re-encoded, it engages in the slots of the tumblers 8 in order to classify them congruently at the left end. The elongated hole 2b in the main bolt 2 enables the relative movement between the main bolt 2 and the pin 11. To re-code the management lock, the cutting pin 7, which is seated on a non-visible slide switch, is shifted to the right. Then a new management key is inserted and the slide is moved to the left again.

The housing 1 is fastened to the value door by means of the screw holes 1e, 1f, 1g, 1h.

Fig. 2 stellt den Schloßdeckel 12 dar. In addition to the holes 12a, 12b for the double-bit keys, it has openings 12c, 12d for the cutting pins 6, 7. Another opening 12f shows the tour pin 3a of the auxiliary bolt. An elongated hole 12e guides the pin 11 and enables the position of the change-over slide 17 to be visually checked. Further holes serve to fasten the cover 12 on the lock housing 1.

Fig. 3 zeigt das Schloß ohne die Zuhaltungspakete. Fig. 3 shows the lock without the tumbler packages. The bolts 2 and 3 are provided with cutouts 2c, 3b in which bolt drive levers 4, 5 are mounted. Axes of rotation of these levers are pins 1i, 1j fixed to the housing. At the upper end they carry lugs 4a, 5a, which rest in a force-fitting manner in the recess 2c, 3b. If the drive cams of the double bit keys hit the control cams 4b, 5b of the drive levers 4, 5, the key movement is translated into the bars in a ratio of 2: 1.

Fig. 4 shows the back of the lock housing 1 and the protruding part of the main bolt 2. A recess 1k is provided in the rear wall, in which a one-armed lever 13 is mounted. The axis of rotation is a pin 14. The lever is coupled to the main bolt 2 via a pin 15.

In the direction of the bolt axis, a slot 11 is also provided, into which the release lever of a coin lock protrudes as shown in FIG. 5.

Fig. 5 shows the back of this coin lock 18 with the release lever 16. This lever is locked and is only released when a coin is inserted. The interaction with the double-bit lock is explained later.

In der Mitte erkennt man die Schlüsselsteuerkurve 17a, in der oberen rechten Ecke den Stift 10.6 shows the shape of the change-over slide 17 with the cutting pin 6 and various openings. In the middle you can see the key control curve 17a, in the upper right corner the pin 10.

In Fig. 7, the auxiliary bolt 3 is shown with the tour pin 3a and various openings and projections. In addition to the recess 3b, elongated holes 3c, 3d and a central opening 3e are provided.

Fig. 8 zeigt einen Riegelantriebshebel 4 mit der Nase 4a und der Schlüsselantriebskurve 4b.8 shows a bolt drive lever 4 with the nose 4a and the key drive curve 4b.

Die beschriebene Schließanlage arbeitet im einzelnen wie folgt:The locking system described works in detail as follows:

A: Normale Benutzung durch einen Kunden:A: Normal use by a customer:

The customer finds the unlocked security container. The key assumes the "135 ° position" and is not removable. If the customer wants to use the safe, he opens the door and throws a coin into the slot of the Coin lock, closes the door, turns the key to the locked position and removes it.

By inserting the coin, the lever 16 was released and the bolt 2 could be moved. The coin remains trapped in the castle.

When the customer unlocks, the lever 16 moves back into the starting position under spring force. The coin falls into a return opening and the key cannot be removed.

B: Umstellung des Schlosses beim Verlust des Kundenschlüssels oder beim Kundenwechsel:B: Changing the lock when losing the customer key or when changing customers:

The manager pulls the auxiliary latch back with the management key and thus also moves the change-over slide of the customer lock. He (possibly in the presence of the customer) puts any coded customer key in the keyhole, turns 90 ° to arrange the tumblers, turns the management key back and removes it. The customer tumblers are now re-encoded. He can now turn the customer key 90 ° to the left and remove it, or turn it 45 ° to the right and open the safe.

C: Umstellung des Managementschlosses:C: Change of management lock:

First the safe is opened with the customer key so that the lock housing is accessible. Then you actuate the not shown, protruding from the lock housing conversion pin, which takes the cutting pin 7 and at the same time presses the management tumblers 8 on the left side against the tour pin 3a. If any management key is now inserted and turned 90 ° to the right, the new key is set. The new coding is locked when the switch lever is returned to the rest position. The customer lock is also prepared for recoding by subsequent trial closing of the management lock, but the customer locks become again held in the old position if the customer key is not exchanged.

Gewerbliche VerwertbarkeitCommercial usability

The locking system described is particularly customer-friendly because the manager cannot open the safe without changing the customer lock and thus leaving traces.

The landlord (or management) can set the coin value so high that it roughly covers the cost of a key. This has the advantage that you do not have to check the return of the key at the end of the tenancy and save time and money for research.

On the other hand, it serves to ensure that a guest cannot use the key they have taken with them the next time they visit because the lock is changed every time they change visitors, and even more so when the key is "lost".

The system described can easily be modified so that the coin falls into a closed coin shaft every time it is used, so that the system pays for itself through user charges. The customer only pays for the facilities or services that they use.
