Description

Bandage made of shrinkable material for armature of electrical machines and devices It is common in electrical machines to have the winding on the armature to hold and protect against centrifugal forces by making half-open grooves with wedges off, insulation material closes. There are also caps made of solid materials, such. B. Metal, slipped over, it has also been suggested to keep such bandages warm wind up. In the case of windings that were placed on the armature, it was also common to to attach a bandage made of string or tape material and possibly with adhesive material to bring about a further fastening. Such bandages were specially designed for Winding heads provided by machines. These winding heads were also still through. metallic ring-shaped bodies or wire windings secured against centrifugal forces. It is also known to support the windings of electrical machines in that one bandages made of thermoplastic material, z. B. based on polyvinyl chloride, used. Such bandages are put on warm and shrink when they cool down, so that a firm fit occurs. Bandages made of such a material have the disadvantage that When the machine heats up, the bandage also becomes warm, causing chlorine to be split off and migration of the plasticizer, damage to the insulation materials occurs.

In contrast, it is proposed for bandages in electrical machines and devices to use viscose or acetyl cellulose, which shrinks when they are dries after being moistened for the first time. Shrink bodies made of such a material are known per se for bottle caps. Furthermore, it is already known in the case of stator windings to use acetate foil caps enveloping the winding heads of underwater motors, to protect the winding space of pumps against ingress of water, whereby however, these caps are not used to secure the winding.

According to the invention, the bandage, the tubular, ring-shaped or capsule-shaped, soaked and pushed on when moist. It then shrinks as it dries, sets and fixes. The invention Bandages can be single-tier or multi-tier. You can do both about the overall development how to pull over parts of the winding or only over the winding heads.

Bandages according to the invention have compared to the known bandages considerable advantages. When applying such bandages, the winding will be injured avoided. The subsequent slow shrinking process results in the winding gently reshaped. This shaping takes place evenly over the entire circumference. A major advantage is that such bandages, in contrast to materials which react to heat, when the engine is running, not as a result of the occurring Warming become loose.
