Für das Haarewaschen wird die neuerungsgemäße Schutzkappe bzw. das dortige Stirnband am Kopf der zu behandelnden Person so angelegt, daß dieses Stirnband an der Stirn dicht anliegt und gleichzeitig auch die Ohren abdeckt. Am Hinterkopf ist das Stirnband geschlossen, und zwar vorzugsweise durch einen die beiden Enden dieses Stirnbandes verbindenden Gummizug, der das dichte Anliegen des Stirnbandes am Kopf sicherstellt und unterschiedliche Größen ausgleicht. In der Mitte des Stirnbandes 1, die bei Verwendung der Schutzkappe auch die Stirnmitte ist, besitzt die Randlinie 4 beispielsweise einen Abstand von 5 10 cm von dem Stirnband 1 zu dem Gummizug 2, der sich bei Verwendung der Schutzkappe hinten am Kopf 5 des Benutzers befindet, verringert sich der Abstand der Randlinie 4 von dem Stirnband 1 auf etwa 2-5 cm, bis sich die Randlinie 4 schließlich dem Stirnband 1 völlig annähert. Die Formgebung des Elementes 3 und dessen Befestigung am Stirnband 1 sind weiterhin so gewählt, daß bei etwa hochkant angeordneten Stirnband 1 das schildartige Element 2 von dem Stirnband 1 schräg nach oben und in Bezug auf die von dem Stirnband 1 und dem Gummizug 2 gebildete Schlaufe nach außen wegsteht.
