The invention relates to a canopy with ground supports for covering building openings or as a component of winter gardens, consisting of a frame with a glass insert that can be attached to a building wall and which rests with its free edge facing away from the building wall on support columns or support frames attached to the ground and is attached to them.

Such canopies are known in the state of the art. The manufacture and assembly of such canopies is relatively complex, since the individual elements of the canopy must be connected in a suitable manner using screws or the like, which is very complex in terms of assembly. The manufacture of the individual components of the canopy is also complex, since such canopies are usually assembled from a large number of individual profiles.

Another disadvantage is that in the current state of the art, fastening points and fastening elements are often visible after final assembly.

Based on this state of the art, the invention is based on the object of creating a canopy of the generic type which, with simple manufacture and assembly, enables an invisible arrangement of fastening means and the like, wherein the angle of inclination of the canopy can also be adjusted between a minimum inclination of 5° and a greater inclination.

To solve this problem, the invention proposes that the frame consists of a plurality of rafters arranged parallel to one another and at a distance from one another, as well as longitudinal profiles attached to the rafter ends and parallel to one another, the first of which can be held on the wall side and the second of which is supported on the support columns or the support frame, that the first longitudinal profile is connected to a third longitudinal profile attached to a building wall or the like in a limitedly pivotable manner and that the second longitudinal profile is connected to a fourth

This design makes it possible to assemble and manufacture the canopy from just a few individual parts, whereby only the rafters are connected to the first and second longitudinal profiles to form a frame structure. The first longitudinal profile can be connected in a suitable manner to a third longitudinal profile that can be attached to the building, while the second longitudinal profile can be connected to a fourth longitudinal profile that can be pivoted to a limited extent, which rests directly on the ends of the support columns or the corresponding support surface of a support frame and can be attached there.

A preferred further development is that the profiles are made of light metal, in particular aluminum or aluminum alloys.

For this purpose, these longitudinal profiles preferably have open slots on their upper edge in the installed position, into which the threaded bolts with attached nuts can be inserted, whereby after tightening the corresponding nuts, the longitudinal profiles are firmly connected to the rafter profiles.

It is particularly preferred that the rafters are formed by hollow profiles of essentially rectangular basic shape with a longitudinal vertical axis orthogonal to the roof surface, which in the lower area in the installed position, preferably below the profile edge, have receiving channels running parallel to the longitudinal direction of the rafter for receiving threaded bolts and glass support strips protruding from these transversely to the longitudinal direction of the rafter.

This means that when using light metal, sufficient bending stiffness is achieved and simple production is possible, since such rafter profiles can be manufactured, for example, as extruded profiles, which, due to their characteristics as a closed hollow profile, meet the requirements for strength and the like. The receiving channels formed on the rafter profiles for receiving threaded bolts make it possible to insert these threaded bolts invisibly into the rafter profile, whereby screw nuts can be placed on the protruding ends of the threaded bolts, by means of which the profiles to be connected to the rafters can be attached.

These glazing beads can have rubber-like support elements (seals) at their ends, with which they support themselves under pre-tension on the corresponding inserted glass pane (single-layer or multi-layer). Furthermore, it is intended that the areas of the longitudinal beams and rafters facing the inside of the canopy are covered by cover profiles that are connected to the longitudinal beams and rafters via insulating strips.

This also visually covers the front of the canopy, so that all fastening elements are arranged invisibly or not visually accessible.

In order to avoid cold bridges and also to cover structural elements, it is also preferred that the end of the rafters facing away from the building wall and their glass support strips are covered by a cover cap.

The canopy with floor supports for covering building openings or as a component of winter gardens or the like essentially consists of a frame with a glass insert 1 that can be fastened to a building wall, the frame being supported with its free edge facing away from the building wall 2 on a support frame 3 or support columns fastened to the floor. The frame is formed from a large number of rafters k arranged parallel to one another and at a distance from one another, as well as longitudinal profiles fastened to the rafter ends and parallel to one another. In the drawing figure 1, the rafter profile can be seen at A'. The illustration 4' corresponds to the sectional view of the rafter rotated by 90° around the vertical axis of the drawing. A first longitudinal profile 5 can be held on the building wall 2, while a second longitudinal profile 6 is indirectly supported on the support frame 3. The first longitudinal profile 5 is connected to a third rafter k directly fastened to the building wall 2.

Longitudinal profile 7 is connected in a limitedly pivotable manner, while the second longitudinal profile 6 is connected in a limitedly pivotable manner to a fourth longitudinal profile 8, which rests directly on the support frame 3 and is fastened to it. All profile elements are preferably made of light metal, in particular aluminum or aluminum alloys.

The rafters 4 are formed by hollow profiles with a substantially rectangular basic shape. The edge 10 at the top in the installation direction is rounded for optical reasons. The vertical axis 11 of the rafters 4 is directed at right angles to the plane spanned by the roof surface. In the lower area of the rafters 4 in the installation position, below the profile edge 12, there are receiving channels running parallel to the longitudinal direction of the rafters, which serve to receive threaded bolts 14. between the rafter 4 and the leg 15 of the longitudinal profile 5, the corresponding design and arrangement of the threaded bolt and the associated nut 16 is not shown. To attach the rafter 4 to the longitudinal profiles 6 and 5, the longitudinal profiles 6 and 5 have slots on their upper edge in Figure 1, the dimensions of which are adapted to the threaded bolt 14. When the nut 16 is loosened, the rafters with the threaded bolts can be pushed into the slots of the longitudinal profiles 6 and 5 and the final fixation can be achieved by tightening the nuts 16. The assembly is therefore very simple and quick to carry out. The rafters also have glass support strips 17 formed in the area of the receiving channels 13 and projecting transversely to the longitudinal direction of the rafter.

The swivel joint between the first and third longitudinal profile 5 or 7, as well as the swivel joint between the second and fourth longitudinal profile 6 or 8, is formed by a web 19 with mushroom head protruding from the first longitudinal profile 5 or from the second longitudinal profile 6.

The longitudinal profiles are fixed to the wall 2 (first longitudinal profile 5) or away from it (fourth longitudinal profile 8) by the bearing shells 21 or mushroom heads 20 enclosed between the wall areas of the pockets 22, but can be pivoted in the same direction as defined above. The pivot angle is limited by the length of the bearing shell 21 in the pivot direction. The pivot path ends when the corresponding end of the bearing shell 21 comes to rest on the side wall of the pocket 22.

The first longitudinal profile 5 also has a curved guide bar 24 on its upper edge in the installed position, which faces away from the swivel joint, the center of curvature 25 of which coincides with the center of curvature of the mushroom head 20. The third longitudinal profile 7 has a guide bar 26 curved in the same direction, which covers the guide bar 24 of the first longitudinal profile 5 with a small clearance of approx. 1 mm, the width of the guide bars 24, 26 being adapted to the possible swivel angle of the swivel joint so that the guide bars 24, 26 cover one another in every possible swivel position.

In this way, the gap formed in the upper area is protected against the ingress of dirt and/or liquid.

The rafters 4 also have on their long side flanks, at a distance from the glass support strips 17, receiving grooves 27 for clamping the glass strips 28. The glass strips are supported at 29 via rubber-like supports on the corresponding outer surfaces of the glass panes 1, whereby the clamping fastening between the glass strip 28 and the receiving grooves 27 is maintained.

The areas of the longitudinal beams 5, 7, 6, 8 and the rafters 4 facing the inside of the canopy are covered by cover profiles 29, 30, 31, which are connected to the corresponding longitudinal beams or rafters 4 via insulating strips 32. The cover profile 30 ends in the assembly position shown in Figure 1 with a corresponding distance from the wall 2 so as not to hinder the possible pivoting of the canopy.

The end of the rafters 4 and their glass support strips 17 facing away from the building wall 2 is covered by a cover cap 33, for example made of cast aluminum. The cover cap 33 has a socket 34 that can be inserted into the cavity of the rafter 4. The insertion position can be secured by gluing or by screws that are attached in an invisible area.

The rain gutter 9 is snap-fastened to the lower end of the longitudinal profile 8 in a pocket 35 located there, for which purpose the corresponding end of the rain gutter 9 with the projection 36 is first pushed into the receiving chamber 35 with the projection oriented at an angle and then can be moved into the locking position shown by pivoting in Figure 1 anticlockwise. The parts are supported on one another under spring-elastic pre-tensioning of the material. The invention creates a canopy consisting of a few and simple individual parts, which, with simple production, also enables simple assembly. invisibly. The canopy is infinitely adjustable in inclination in the range from 5° to 45° depending on the design of the joints. The canopy is supported on the frame support 3, to which the canopy is attached by a screw connection arranged in area 18.

The invention is not limited to the embodiment, but is variable in many ways within the scope of the disclosure.
