umlaufenden Trommelnrevolving drums
Potato harvesting machines are known in which one or more rotatable, Drums arranged transversely to the direction of travel for picking up and passing on the potatoes and are arranged to cleanse them of earth and herbs. This device for harvesting of potatoes and possibly other tuberous fruits is to be further expanded and improved according to the invention.
Diese zweite Trommel soll daher nur etwa halb so schnell umlaufen wie die erste Trommel und soll etwa doppelt so groß wie die vorangehende Trommel ausgebildet sein; während die erste Trom-Investigations on this type of machine have shown that it has a major impact on the relative speed of the drums arranged one behind the other and their training. The first drum, in the area of which the entire excavated Potato dam is directed, must first carry out a coarse screening; most useful this is achieved by a fast rotating speed of this drum, about 1000 or more revolutions per minute achieved. Such a high rotational speed can safely be used for the first drum be allowed without fear of damaging the potatoes is because at this point in time it was still largely due to the earth's masses of the potato dam are encased and thus protected. The speed at which this drum rotates however, it promotes rapid and extensive sifting of the soil that has been excavated. In the The potatoes then arrive in the area of the second drum rotating in the same direction behind it much less enveloped by earth; here the fine cleaning of adhering earth takes place. This second drum should therefore rotate only about half as fast as the first drum and should be made about twice as large as the preceding drum; while the first drum
Der kleinste Abstand zwischen einem Stab des Außenkranzes und einem benachbarten Stab des inneren Kranzes soll in der Größenordnung von etwa 3 bis 5 cm liegen.mel equipped with a single wreath of bars the second drum should contain the bars in two concentric circles, their diameters differ by about S to 8 cm; besides are the bars of the inner Wreath offset from the bars of the outer wreath, in such a way placed on a gap, that the bars of the outer rim with the staggered bars of the inner rim cross ίο Form running grooved pockets. The smallest distance between a bar of the outer rim and an adjacent bar of the inner rim should be on the order of about 3 to 5 cm.
The potatoes passed from the first to the second drum fall because of their slower rotational speed, at least partially in that of the neighboring bars of the grooves formed on both wreaths and clean themselves there from the earth still adhering to them.
A lifter design is known with four drums lying one behind the other, but there are these only a slightly different diameter and therefore their speed of rotation, although decreasing from front to back, shows only insignificant differences and since here the two front drums with two each Bar wreaths and the two rear drums are each provided with a bar wreath, can do not achieve the desired and achievable effects according to the invention with the known design.
The invention is shown in the drawing in one embodiment; is in her Fig. Ι a longitudinal section through the machine in the central longitudinal plane,
Fig. 2 eine schaubildliche Darstellung. Fig. 2 is a diagrammatic representation. Behind the ploughshare 1, which is preferably in plan view has a rectangular shape and ends at the rear in an upwardly curved tine comb 2, are two drums 3 and 4 rotating in the same direction transversely to the direction of travel, both of which as well as the ploughshare, carried by a frame 5 arranged on running wheels 6 will.
The first drum 3 consists of a ring of bars 8 fastened in side panels 7 second drum 4, which, for example, has a diameter that is about twice as large as that of drum 3 has, consists of two concentric rings of rods 9, which are in side panels 10 are attached. The bars of the inner wreath are set at a gap to the outer wreath bars; the diameter of the inner bar ring is about 5 to 8 cm smaller than that of the outer one Rim, and the distance between two adjacent bars of the outer and inner rim should be about 3 to 5 cm. As a result, between adjacent bars in the drum Grooved pockets formed.
The rotational speed of the drum 3 should be relatively high, whereas the rotational speed of the following drum 4 about half as high as that of the first drum 3 should be. The front drum 3 is preferably driven by the power take-off shaft of the machine pulling it Driven by the tractor, it could also remove its drive from the running wheels 6. Of the First drum 3, the following drum 4, expediently via a V-belt drive, is driven. The drive, which is not the subject of the invention, is not shown in the drawings illustrated.
The first drum 3, which rotates rapidly and is provided with only one bar ring, effects the coarse screening and frees the potatoes from the largest amount of the potato dam. the Potatoes then fall into the groove-shaped formed by adjacent bars of the two bar rings Pockets of the second drum 4 rotating only half as fast and are in these Bags cleaned even more so that they are freed from the earth and get to the filing system.
The frame 5 is on one side behind the drum 4 with one after the just harvested Potato dam pointing, angled, reaching to about the ground and possibly provided with downwardly directed prongs Ii guide iron which is supported by the drum 4 Leaves and potatoes dropped from behind deflects sideways towards the harvested side of the field or continues and thus brings it to the side so far that the potatoes in the next Row driving cannot be pushed into the ground by the tractor wheels. The results show that the potatoes come to lie very well in a row without being covered by the cabbage to be so that easy reading is guaranteed.
