In den Fig. 1 und 2 ist eine Ausführungsform der Erfindung dargestellt, bei der die Kopfschutzvorrichtung als Stirnband ausgeführt ist. Diese Ausführungsform ist insbesondere für den Einsatz im Sommer geeignet. Sie umfaßt auf der Außenseite ein Band 10 aus leichtem, großporigem Stoff, beispielsweise Stretch. Vorteilhafterweise ist dieser Stoff gut elastisch dehnbar. Auf der Innenseite dieses Bandes 10 sind erfindungsgemäß Prallstege 12 angeordnet. Ein solcher Prallsteg 12 ist in den Fig. 3 und 4 näher dargestellt. Diese Prallstege 12 sind an dem Band 10 festgeklebt. Vorteilhafterweise können sie jedoch auch mittels einer lösbaren Adhäsionsverbindung (Klettverschluß) an dem Band befestigt sein. Dann können die Prallstege 12 beispielsweise zum Waschen des Bandes, oder wenn man das Band ohne Prallstege verwenden will, leicht abgenommen werden.
