Es sind auch schon Sockelnähmaschinen bekanntgeworden, bei denen ein Stofftragarm zwischen zwei parallelen, vom Ständer aus hervorragenden Auslegern angeordnet ist, wobei die Oberfläche des Stofftragarmes mit den Oberflächen der Ausleger in einer Ebene liegt.
