Außerdem ist es bei dem Magnettongerät mit verhältnismäßig einfachen Mitteln möglich, eine Tonaufzeichnung selbst vorzunehmen und mit der gleichen Vorrichtung die Tonaufzeichnung später wieder abzuspielen. Wenn man das Schallplattengerät und das Magnettongerät in getrennten Apparaturen nebeneinander aufbaut, so erhält man eine ziemlich umfangreiche Anordnung, die besonders. für den Gebrauch im Heim zu groß wird.
