Process for bleaching waxes, oils and fats In the oxidative
To bleaching waxes, oils and fats one has up to now the dissolved oxidizing agent
on the bleached material, optionally distributed in liquid form in water or aqueous solutions
let absorb. However, this usually results in the disadvantage that the bleached material
after a short period of exposure to the oxidizing agent an unfavorable state of distribution
assumes and forms a viscous mass that the further action of the oxidizing agent
opposed stubborn resistance, so that considerable for complete bleaching
Time is required.
It has now been found that this drawback has been avoided and the bleaching
can be accelerated very substantially if the bleaching process is carried out in such a way that
in the conversion vessel except for the goods to be bleached and the bleaching agent at any time
There are large quantities of already bleached goods that are not viscous
Mass forms. The required amount of the already bleached goods can easily
can be determined by a preliminary test. Generally this will be about a lot
which is equal to or greater than the amount of the goods to be bleached. It is
it is not necessary that the required bleached goods have the same degree of bleaching,
that you want to achieve with the new bleaching.
auswirkt. In this way of working, which is particularly suitable for the
Bleaching of raw montan wax with chromic acid becomes a very favorable distribution state
generated in the reaction vessel and the consumption of oxidizing agent for the
Achievement
a certain degree of bleaching is significantly reduced. This is a very gentle one
Treatment of the bleached material connected, so that one z. B. with waxes harder and less
degraded products are retained, which is also reflected in a smaller increase in the acid number
affects.
It is also not necessary to bleach the whole for a certain amount
Product required amount of already bleached fabric at the beginning of the bleaching
to use: One can rather proceed in such a way that one at the beginning of the bleaching process
a small amount of bleached material with the required likewise small amount of
Mix already bleached fabric and bleach in the bleaching vessel and then add it
and after further amounts of bleaching material and bleaching agent are added, in each case
until the main reaction has ended, which takes place within a very short time (1 to 2 minutes)
is done, wait. The addition of the additional amount of bleaching material and bleaching agent can be used
can also be carried out continuously with the appropriate dosage. That way it is
possible to have a beneficial effect by applying in proportion to the total amount
to achieve small amounts of already bleached material.

Example i roo kg of raw montan wax and 100 kg of raw montan wax

runs very quickly. When the full amount of chromic acid has been added, it becomes up to

io kg rohem Montanwachs in 5ooo 1 4oo/aiger Schwefelsäure emulgiert. Man läßt dann
