Description
Zement - Kunst stoffbeton - ElementCement - synthetic concrete - element
The invention relates to a concrete element consisting of the main components cement and shredded plastic waste, in particular rigid PVC.
Die Herstellung erfolgt im Terrazzo-bzw. Agglomeratverfahren. It is manufactured using the terrazzo or agglomerate process. The elements formed from it, such as terrazzo tiles, are usually made from a cement/gravel mixture, with the color design being achieved by adding various minerals, e.g. gravel, chippings and/or colors.
The disadvantage here is that the formed elements have a large mass and the choice of color design is limited by the natural appearance of the additional minerals, predominantly black/white.
Based on the state of the art, the invention is based on the object of creating a lightweight and color-variable concrete for cost-effective production of various building elements, such as terrazzo tiles.
According to the invention, this object is achieved by adding shredded PVC (polyvinyl chloride) and/or SAH (styrene-acrylonitrile polymers) to the conventional dry mixture as an additive.
A grain size of 0.1-12 mm for the shredded plastic waste is optimal for the processing of the mixture, strength, mass and aesthetic appearance of the components made from it; a grain size of up to 30 mm can be processed. The proportion of shredded plastic waste can be 10 to a maximum of 60 percent by weight.
A proportional addition of gravel and/or chippings is also possible.
To achieve sufficient wear and pressure resistance of the building elements made from such mixtures, especially for terrazzo tiles for floor coverings, a filler made of hard PVC with a grain size of approx. 4 mm and a weight proportion of 10-15% must be used.
By using shredded plastic waste, the components made from it acquire a certain elasticity, which improves their resistance to breakage.
Another advantage is that these elements have a 30-40% lower mass than conventional ones, have excellent sound insulation and have very good heat and frost-resistant properties.
Die vorstehende Erfindung soll an den nachstehenden Ausführungsbeispielen näher erläutert werden : The above invention will be explained in more detail using the following embodiments:
A dry mixture is made from Portland cement and hard PVC with a grain size of 2-8 mm mixed with water in a ratio of 1:1, poured into molds, shaken, dried and then sanded, filled and polished.
The plastic concrete element produced in this way has a surface similar to that of a conventional terrazzo slab and its appearance can be varied as desired depending on the color of the PVC used. When using white Portland cement and black PVC with a grain size of J-10 mm, the design effect is similar to that of natural marble.
The cement-plastic mixture according to the invention is packaged as a dry mixture and made available to retailers or hardware stores. This allows the buyer to process it individually, e.g. for floors in bathrooms, pools, toilets, washrooms, etc.
