Description
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Dampfsterilisation von Hohlkörpern mit verhältnismäßig engen Kanälen, insbesondere von Schläuchen, Drains, Bougies, Kathetern, Kanülen u. dgl. Bei der heute üblichen Sterilisation in gespanntem Dampf von I200 C hat es sich herausgestellt, daß das Tnnere derartiger Hohlkörper häufig nicht steril wurde, selbst wenn man die Sterilisationsdauer verlängerte. Diese Erscheinung ist darauf zurückzuführen, daß Luft in den engen Kanälen der Hohlkörper eingeschlossen ist, die bei der Dampfsterilisation nur schwer entweichen kann. Dabei ist zu berücksichtigen, daß aus praktischen Gründen die Hohlkörper (Schläuche u. dgl.) in Schalen eingelegt sind, also in waagerechter Lage sterilisiert werden, während die Dampfströmung dagegen senkrecht von oben nach unten gerichtet ist.
