Es sind Kochbeutel aus hocherhitzbaren Kunststoffolien bekannt, welche mit den zu erwärmenden Speisen in heißes bzw. kochendes Wasser zwecks Erwärmung gelegt werden. Das Gargut 4 wird mit Dampf 5 umhüllt, desen Druck die obere Dampfbeutelseite 6 nach oben wölbt so, daß ausreichender Abstand der den Überdruck ventilierenden Perforierung 7 zu dem beim Kochvorgang evtl. aufsteigenden Schaum gewährleistet.Fig. 3 shows the new steam cooking bag and its behavior during a cooking process. So ist z.B. gesichert, daß das Kochgut nicht mehr, wie es bei dem Garen in der Mikrowelle meist geschieht wenn längere Kochzeiten verwendet werden, an der Oberfläche trocken wird. Weil in dem Dampfkochbeutel ähnlich einem Schnellkochtopf ein etwas höherer Druck herrscht und auch der aufsteigende Wasserdampf durch die Mikrowelle weiter erhitzt wird, hat dies zu Folge, daß gegenüber herkömmlichen garen in der Mikrowelle das bekanntlich im innern des Kochgutes ansetzt, ein zusätzlicher Kochvorgang von Außen hinzukommt. Hierdurch kommt es des weiteren zu noch kürzeren Garzeiten und einer weiteren Senkung des Stromverbrauchs, welche dadurch entsteht, daß die Wattleistung der Mikrowelle gesenkt werden kann, während in den Abschaltpausen der Kochvorgang durch den in dem Dampfkochbeutel noch vorhandenen Dampfdruck fortgesetzt wird. Es ist für das Kochverfahren mit dem Dampfkochbeutel bezeichnend, daß nun auch z.B. 500 Watt schwache Mikrowellengeräte in der gleichen Zeit garen können, wie es bisher Beispielsweise mit einem 700 Watt starken Mikrowellenherd möglich ist.This ensures, for example, that the food no longer becomes dry on the surface, as is often the case when cooking in the microwave if longer cooking times are used.
