Door for household dishwashers

The innovation relates to a door for household dishwashers according to the preamble of claim 1.

Dishwashers available on the market all have hinged front doors that can be unlocked using a recessed handle and then brought into their horizontal final position. The opening and closing forces required for this can be adjusted using springs. The upper and lower baskets that hold the dishes are mounted on rollers in the washing container and can be pulled out. Other large household appliances, such as electric stoves, now have not only folding doors but also so-called baking trolleys, which are doors that roll out to the front with food supports attached. In other words: the stove door can be pulled out like a drawer. When removing the food to be fried or baked, the user does not need to reach into the hot oven. Each baking tray can be removed individually from the baking trolley holder. (AEG brochure 1990 "Electric stoves, extractor hoods")

The innovation is based on the task of creating a dishwasher door that can be pulled out to the front, similar to the oven tray of an electric oven; the innovation also has the task of designing the aforementioned door in such a way that it meets all requirements and needs that are completely different for dishwashers.

This object according to the innovation is achieved by the characterizing features of claim 1. Further advantageous embodiments of the innovation can be found in the subclaims.

The advantages that can be achieved with the innovation lie in the fact that it is easier for the user to operate it. Loading the lower dish basket is made easier. The interior of the appliance is freely accessible, and the dirt filter can be removed and the salt can be refilled easily.

An example of the innovation is shown in the drawing and is explained in more detail below. The drawing shows the basic structure of a dishwasher with a roll-out door trolley.

The washing container 1 is closed at the front by means of a trolley door 2 attached to telescopic pull-out rails (not shown). For weight reasons, these pull-out or guide rails are preferably arranged on the side walls and in the lower area of the washing compartment. (However, they can also be installed in the middle or upper half of the area). The trolley door is opened in the direction of arrow 3. Inside the washing container 1, the upper crockery basket 4 is initially mounted on rollers and can be moved in and out separately. Dishes placed in this are cleaned by the upper spray arm 5. The lower crockery basket 6, on the other hand, is attached either to the pull-out rails or to the inside of the trolley door and can be moved with it. In order to prevent the floor from becoming dirty with dripping dishwashing liquid when the lower dishwashing basket 6 is pulled out, an intermediate floor 7, which is also firmly attached to the door 2, reaches under the lower dishwashing basket 6. (In the known dishwashers, this task is performed by the folding door which is brought into the horizontal end position). Area of the intermediate floor 7 or it directly covers the stationary drain pan 11 of the (also stationary) washing container floor 12 as a separate part in a manner not shown. When the trolley door 2 is opened, the following are pulled out of the washing container 1: the lower crockery basket 6, the intermediate floor 7 including the standpipe 8 with the lower spray arm 9 attached and, if applicable, the sieve system 10, which is easily accessible for cleaning by the user in this position. The circulation pump 13 supplies the washing solution to the spray arms 5, 9, whereby the supply to the lower spray arm 9 initially takes place via a nozzle 14 and then to the standpipe 8. The nozzle 14 is stationary in the washing container floor 12, while the standpipe 8, as previously mentioned, is arranged so that it can move with the trolley door 2. Standpipe 8 and nozzle 14 are tightly connected to one another at point 15 by an easily removable, automatic water plug-in coupling (not shown). Or in the stationary nozzle 14 of the circulation pump 13 there is a nozzle with diffuser (not shown). The standpipe 8 of the lower spray arm 9 is then supplied with rinsing solution via a free flow path (corresponds to the connection point 15). A water plug-in coupling is not required here. The intermediate floor 7 and the rinsing container floor 12 are designed to be streamlined, i.e. inclined downwards and have completely smooth walls, in order to return the rinsing solution to the sieve system 10 or the drain pan 11 with low flow resistance. The dirt particles filtered out during the circulation of the rinsing solution in the sieve system 10 sink to the deepest bottom of the drain pan 11, the sump bottom 11', and at the end of the rinsing cycle are transported by the drain pump 16 together with the used rinsing solution into a wastewater system. The carriage door 2 must seal the rinsing container 1 so that it is steam-tight and watertight. The seal 17 running around the opening of the rinsing container 1 can no longer be pressed with the help of door spring closing forces, as is the case with folding doors. For the new carriage door 2, this task is carried out by electromechanically lockable locks 18. One or more of the locks 18 are attached at a suitable location and press the closed carriage door 2 against the aforementioned seal 17. The user activates the locking and unlocking using the corresponding pushbutton switches.

Door for household dishwashers with a washing container, with an upper and lower crockery basket including the associated spray arms, with a dirt trap sieve system, with a drain pan and with a circulation and a drain pump, characterized in that the door is designed as an extendable carriage door (2) mounted in pull-out rails, with the lower crockery basket on the inside of the carriage door (2) (6) and an intermediate shelf that extends underneath the lower crockery basket (6) (7) is attached. 2. Door according to claim 1, characterized in that a standpipe (8) for supplying water to the lower spray arm (9) is attached to the intermediate floor (7) and that the sieve system (10) is integrated at the rear, free end of the intermediate floor (7). 3. Door according to claims 1 or 2, characterized in that the intermediate floor (7) is inclined downwards and has smooth walls. 4. Door according to claim 2, characterized in that the standpipe (8) of the lower spray arm (9) can be connected at its connection point (15) to a stationary nozzle (14) of the circulation pump (13) via an automatic water plug coupling. 5. Door according to claim 4, characterized in that the standpipe (8) of the lower spray arm (9) can be supplied with rinsing liquid by means of a nozzle and a diffuser via a free flow path, the connection point (15). Door according to claim 1, characterized in that the carriage door (2) and the washing container (1) can be sealed against one another by means of electromechanically lockable closures (18). 7. Door according to claim 1, characterized in that the lower crockery basket (6) is attached to the extendable rails of the carriage door (2).
