Process for the production of smooth, hard surfaces on corrugated rollers
and other profiled rollers for spinning machines Die in spinning machines for cotton,
Wool and d g1. As is known, corrugated rollers used to produce the thread are required
a hard surface to withstand the wear and tear caused by the unwinding thread
to be able to afford. The surface must also be smooth so that the
single fibers; . to avoid as far as possible. It is particularly important here
that the edges of the corrugation are smooth, so that the threads on the edges do not
can get caught.
selbst muß mit, Scheiben verschiedener Körnungen erfolgen, was etin mehrmaliges
Bleischeiben schließen sich in der Fertigung an.After the corrugation has been produced, the corrugated rollers are usually smoothed on the surface in several grinding and polishing processes, interrupted by brushing processes, after they have been hardened in the field. Hardening in the application process has the disadvantage that the shafts, which are up to im long, are easily distorted, so that each individual shaft has to be straightened n, xh, after hardening; before it can be sanded. The grinding itself has to be done with disks of different grits, which requires the shaft to be reclamped several times. Brushing with fiber brushes and grinding with lead discs follow in production.
Experience has shown that the same effect is achieved if the surface hardening is used
.in a known manner by applying a hard chrome layer on a through
anodic polishing pre-smoothed corrugated roller produced. Dlie use of hard chrome plating
: for surface hardening is already known for corrugated rollers and on a trial basis d
has been carried out. The chrome layer has favorable properties because of its surface properties: ig-e
spinning technology
Properties, so that with the same smoothness, `solid, cotton and other threads are worse
adhere to steel rollers of pale smoothness. The application of the chrome layer requires
but a previous smoothing, which is carried out according to the usual procedures
got to.
B. Elektrolyte
auf Schwefelsäure-Phosphorsäure-Basis, besonders jedoch Elektrolyte auf Basis organischer,
aromatischer Sulfonsäuren und Phosphorsäure. Es sind jedoch auch andere bekannte
Glänzelektrolyte hierfür geeignet.According to the invention it is possible to achieve this smoothing by anodic polishing
or anodic smoothing. The corrugated rollers are used for this purpose in
hardened or unhardened condition after rough grinding with coarse-grain grinding wheels
anodic in a highly acidic bath with current densities of 2o to 7o Amp./dm2
Treated for a few minutes, with the protruding grinding tips removed and
the edges of the corrugation are broken. The composition of the electrolyte
depends on the basic material used. For one, a: tzststabs, as they usually do
are used for the production of corrugated rollers, are z. B. Electrolytes
based on sulfuric acid-phosphoric acid, but especially electrolytes based on organic,
aromatic sulfonic acids and phosphoric acid. However, there are other known ones as well
Shining electrolytes are suitable for this.
The method according to the invention has significant advantages,
because the anodic smoothing with relatively little power consumption in a few
Minutes achieves the same effect as multiple grinding, brushing and polishing processes.
The process can be used equally well for hardened and unhardened corrugated rolls.
The surface hardness can be increased by the following adornment,
that it meets the requirements: which are placed on a corrugated roller. There
both anodic smoothing and read hard chrome plating in a uniform
System can be carried out, which is otherwise used for hard chrome plating
.anod! ic etching in chromic acid-containing etching baths is omitted, the result is a very
economical production, as the chrome-plating facilities retain the same scope
can, as it is necessary for chrome plating alone.
besonders wertvoll. Durch das Verfahren wird nicht nur eine Oberflächenglätturig;
seiner Form erhalten bleibt.
The new process: is for corrugated rolls but also for the following reasons
particularly valuable. The process not only smooths a surface;
but also a change in the profile of the corrugation achieved for the application
Chromium and of decisive importance for the intended use of the corrugated roller
is. The profile change on the elevations of the corrugated roller is caused by the anodic
Polishing achieved. This gives the corrugation a gradually increasing and
Well-rounded profile on the edges, which is completely smooth. The one on this
The chrome layer applied to the profile adapts perfectly to the basic profile, which is used in
its shape is retained. The surface of the chrome layer is hard and smooth
and has no areas thickened by the accumulation of chromium.
