erleichtert.
Process for the production of colored patterned objects, in particular
Typefaces, made from curable synthetic resin molding materials in powder form The invention relates
refers to a process for the production of colored patterned objects, in particular
Typefaces, made of curable synthetic resin molding materials in powder form. First will
the main body with its determining the intended pattern and it whole
penetrating depressions which have webs receding against the surface
can, produced in the pressing process and cured by itself, what from the back
of the base body in its depressions differently colored, powdery synthetic resin molded materials
pressed in and hardened for themselves. With this method there is a certain amount
Difficulty due to the webs receding against the surface of the base body,
which must always be arranged in the depressions when it comes to in itself
returning patterns or characters. The molding material for the pattern
must namely in the relatively narrow space between these webs and the floor
flow into the mold, making the application of a relatively easy-flowing
Kunstharzpreßstoffes conditionally for the pattern. As a result, one is in the process of manufacturing
the pattern is limited in the choice of molding material.
This disadvantage
eliminates the invention in such a way that from the rear of the base body
For the intended pattern, indentations in the still uncured mass of the base body
pressed so deep that there is a thin wall against the front of the body
standing body, which after the final pressing of the pattern by grinding or the like.
is removed until the different colored pattern is visible. At this
new execution of the method, the fall against the surface of the base body
receding webs in the depressions of this body completely away, so that all
Depressions of the base body are completely exposed on the rear side.
This means that the depressions are completely filled with every molding material
then guaranteed if a less easily flowing synthetic resin molding material is used for the pattern
is used. In addition, there is the advantage that to produce the depressions
in the base body serving projections of the ram no longer, as before
The pattern or the characters are a mirror image, but the right way round on the stamp
stand, so reproduce the correct typeface, what the production of the ram
relieved. The grinding work required in the new process can be reduced to a small amount
To be limited. The walls closing the recess in the base body
namely can be very thin, since they only have to work through the depressions
to hold separate parts of the main body together until they
connected to one another by the pressed-in and hardened molding material of the pattern
are.
Untergesenk
In the drawing, the subject of the invention is in one embodiment
shown, namely Fig. R shows the front of a finished shield, Fig.2
a die in section along line A-A in Fig. r, Fig. 3 with a lower die
pre-embossed base body in section according to line A-A in Fig. r, Fig. q. Lower die
and upper punch with finished pressed shield in section as before and Fig. 5 a shield
with partially worked front in the cut.
.Grundkörper a und Zeichen b bestehen beide
The shield shown in Fig. R consists of a base body a and in this embedded characters b. .Base body a and character b are both made of molded synthetic resin. To produce the shield, an embossing stamp a is first made, which shows the letters, numbers or figures d in exactly the same way, that is, the right way round and upright, as the shield to be made. As can be seen from FIG. 2, the characters d are raised on the embossing plate c, so that when the embossing die c is pressed into the mass of the base body a , the characters d are impressed as depressions i (FIG. 3). Here, the characters d of the die c are only so high that they do not reach the bottom of the shape of the lower die f, but a small wall g standing, which extends over the entire lower side of the base body a. Since the molding material has great strength, this wall g can be very thin; it has been given so strongly in FIGS. 3 to 5 only to illustrate the process. After embossing, the base body is hardened in the same mold.
For further processing, the hardened base body a is brought into a different shape, which is slightly deeper than the previous one. It is placed in this form h as it was in the first form f, and then the indentations i in the base body a are filled with a molding material of a different color to form the characters b. The molding material, which is entered in fine powder form and which neatly fills all the depressions, is converted into its final shape by applying appropriate heat and pressure. Since the second mold h is somewhat deeper than the first, a thin layer of the second molding material is also spread over the entire back surface of the sign, so that the characters b are connected to one another by this layer.
After the last applied molding material has hardened, the shield is removed from the mold and the base body a on the side that was below in molds f, h sanded down until the aforementioned wall has disappeared and the characters are clearly visible . After grinding, the present front of the shield is polished and the shield is ready for use.
