Trotz rechtzeitiger Wettervorhersagen über Rundfunk und Fernsehen und trotz wiederholter Warnungen durch den Verkehrsfunk kommt es immer wieder zu schweren Serienunfällen infolge schlechter Sichtverhältnisse. Plötzlich auftretende "Nebelwände" werden vielen Kraftfahrern bei "nicht angepaßter Geschwindigkeit" zum Verhängnis.
