B. durch tiefstehende Sonne, Dämmerung, Nebel, Regen oder sonstigen widrigen Sicht­ verhältnissen. In diesen Fällen kann dem nachfolgendem Kraft­ fahrzeug bzw. Kraftfahrzeugen keine Warnung für die auf sie zukommende Unfallgefahr gegeben werden. Auch bei Unfällen in­ folge des sogenannten Sekundenschlafs kann kein Warnsignal vom Fahrer ausgelöst werden. Bei letzteren Unfällen kommt es nicht selten vor, daß das Kraftfahrzeug von der Fahrbahn abkommt und dieser Unfall - bei Nichtbeobachtung durch nachfolgende Verkehrsteilnehmer oder sonstige Beobachter - erst viel später bemerkt wird. Da Airbags in neueren Kraftfahrzeugen meist serienmäßig eingebaut sind, kann der zusätzliche Aufwand (meist genügt ein einfaches, billiges Schaltelement o. dgl.) minimal gehalten werden. Gerade in diesen Fällen ist es, infolge des plötzlichen Füllvorgangs des Airbags, dem Fahrer meist nicht möglich, die Warnblinkanlage rechtzeitig in Gang zu setzen.
